Taylors POV:
Bing
I reached into my back pocket, pulling out my phone. It was the early hours of the morning, and I was still at the studio, immersed in the creative process. Who would text me at this ungodly hour?
Travy <3333hey, it's getting early. When will u be back? You've been gone all day.
Whoops. I guess I lost track of time.
"Taylor? You good?" Jack's voice broke through my thoughts, his concern evident as he snapped his fingers in front of my face.
"Oh, yeah, sorry. Just tired and Travis wants me home," I replied, quickly typing out a response to Travis.
"What time is it anyway?" Lana's voice chimed in from the corner of the room.
"Like 1 am," I answered, glancing at the time on my phone.
"Oh shit, I gotta feed my dogs," Lana laughed, getting up from her seat.
"I'll just text my security," I murmured, sending a quick message to ensure everything was in order for my departure.
"See ya later, bye guys!" Lana waved, her smile infectious as she headed out the door.
"Alright, I'm outta here too. Catch you later, Jack. Bye!" I said, gathering my belongings and following Lana's lead out the door.
As Lana and I approached the door, we were greeted by a sea of people and flashing cameras. It was overwhelming, to say the least.
"Jesus, that's a lot of people... The one day I park my car in the front, the one day!" Lana joked, trying to lighten the mood.
"Sorry..." I muttered, feeling a sense of guilt wash over me. I always felt responsible for situations like these, even though I knew it wasn't my fault.
"Eh, don't be. If those little bitches get close, I'll slap 'em," Lana replied with a smirk, her confidence shining through.
"You'll be on the front cover of every newspaper," I chuckled, appreciating her humor despite the chaos surrounding us.
"So be it," Lana shrugged, seemingly unfazed by the idea.
Our security arrived and escorted us out of the building, shielding us from the onslaught of cameras and shouting paparazzi.
"How do you do this, Taylor? I can't see!" Lana whispered to me as we descended the steps.
"It's normally not that bad... Try to look at the ground," I advised, trying to offer some guidance in navigating the chaotic scene.
But truth be told, I was growing weary of this constant invasion of privacy. The screaming, the flashes, the relentless attention—it was all becoming too much to bear. I couldn't help but feel a sense of exhaustion and frustration building within me.
I waved to Lana, ensuring she got into her car safely before I settled into mine. The exhaustion of the day weighed heavily on me as I sank into the backseat, seeking solace in the quiet confines of the car.
Arriving home, I was met by Travis at the door. His concern was palpable as he pulled me into a comforting hug, immediately sensing my distress.
"Oh, Tay, what's wrong? Did something happen?" he inquired gently, his arms wrapped protectively around me.
I couldn't find the words to respond; the events of the day had left me emotionally drained, and tears began to stream down my face as I buried myself in his embrace.
Travis understood without me having to say anything. "Aw, baby, let's get you ready for bed... You've had a long day, clearly," he murmured soothingly, his voice a comforting presence in the midst of my turmoil.
I shook my head, clinging to him desperately. All I wanted was to hold him close, to feel his reassuring presence wash over me.
"Can you get ready and then snuggle me, dear?" he suggested gently, his concern evident in his tone.
I didn't respond, simply nuzzling closer to him, seeking refuge in his warmth.
"Okay, then," he sighed softly, lifting me up in his arms and carrying me to our bedroom.
Resting my head against the curve of his neck, I let the tears flow freely as he helped me change into my pajamas with tender care.
Once settled in bed, I nestled close to Travis, craving the comfort of his touch. It didn't matter what had triggered my emotional outburst—whether it was the stress of the day, the incessant paparazzi, or simply the weight of my own emotions—I found solace in his presence, finding peace in his comforting embrace.
At least in his arms, I could find a moment of respite from the chaos of the world outside, knowing that he was there to offer unwavering support and love.
"I adore you, can't you see, you're meant for me?"
