The screen comes on showing the words "The Dark Days: Three Years before the first annual Hunger Games"
Two kids are shown running quickly.
"There's some food over here! Quick!" The young girl says as they run towards a building.
Barking is soon heard as they turn to see a rabid dog growling at them. In a rush to defend themselves the young girl throws the trash can at the dog.
"Come on!" She says dragging the boy behind her.
Seeing a structure up ahead they hide behind it as a man goes towards a body with a weapon.
"Why is he doing that?" The boy asks as the man chops at the body.
"He's starving." The girl explains as they hold on to each other.
The screen shifts to another scene as the children walk towards an older lady.
"Your father is dead, Coriolanus. It was a rebel, they say. A trap out in the forest in 12. It's up to us now to make him proud." The woman says with a grim look as the boy looks terrified.
"Don't tell me he blames us for that." Johanna says rolling her eyes only to get a glare from a certain blonde boy.
The screen shows the words "Part 1: The Mentor"
An older version of the blonde boy is shown sitting on his bed. Then shown taking a shower.
"Tigris?" He says walking around the apartment.
"Tigris, where's the shirt?" He asks before noticing the older lady from before singing.
"That's beautiful, Grandma'am. Perhaps a little sharp today." He says as she stops.
"Oh." She says in response.
"Have you seen Tigris with my father's dress shirt?" He asks.
"No." She responds before they hear a door open.
"Coryo?" A soft voice is heard speaking.
"Tigris?" He asks walking towards the sound.
"I'm sorry. I know I'm late. But look, I did it. Or, I did something. I think it's really gorgeous." She says making him smile and take it from her hands.
"It's beautiful. Best cousin ever. Tell me everything." He says as they laugh.
"He has a personality?" Lucy Gray asks making Ocean laugh.
"Where do I start? I told Fabricia at work that she needed to bleach her white curtains and I slipped the shirt in when I did it. The tesserae buttons I made from-" Tigris starts rambling.
"From the bathroom tiles. Brilliant." He says as they walk into the kitchen.
"Oh. Did you find the potatoes? I boiled them for the starch and you should really eat something today."
"Save them for Grandma'am." He says as she walks towards him.
"You look so handsome. Grandma'am! Come see! Coriolanus Snow. Future president of Panem. We salute you." Tigris says as she helps him get dressed.
"Just a moment." Their grandma'am approaches Coryo with rose.
"Wait, Grandma'am." Coryo tries to stop her.
"I can grow plenty more. After today." She explains patting his chest.
"Got the grades, never missed class. Ten years. Even Dean Highbottom can't deny us this now." He says buttoning his shirt.
