Uneasy Change

Neo was already near the school the next day after a long night of preparing Isabelle for the upcoming School President election. He has worked on fliers for the school so that everyone would see her and hope they would vote for her. It took a long time that he was given limited time to study for a quiz and not enough to play online with his friends. But he did it all in one night and was preparing the day.

As he stopped near the place to park his bike, he looked around to see if Stan was near. It was an early day and that school isn't to start for half an hour, but he and Stan agreed to meet each other along with their friends about the election. But Stan was nowhere to be seen. After looking back and forth, he pulled out his phone and called Stan's number.

At Stan's room, he was asleep on the floor after playing on his new PS5 all night. He loved the games on it with such graphics and frame rate that he got addicted to it and played it for long hours till he passed out. Luckily, his PS5 turned off before overheating. His phone ringed loudly that Stan jumped up.

"TAKE THAT VENOM!!!!" Stan shouted before snapping out of it. He yawned and picked up his phone and answered. "Hello?"

"Stan? Where are you at?" Neo asked through the phone.

"Neo? Why are you calling this late?"

"Late? Stan it's morning."

Stan blinked and looked over to his alarm and was shocked to see that was 7 AM. He knew he loved the PS5. But this was completely ridiculous.

"Stan. When are you coming by?" Neo asked.

"I'll be there in a few minutes, don't worry!" Stan said as he hanged up the phone and rushed to get his clothes on and get ready for the day.

Stan had never rushed like this before. But when you're going to meet someone at a certain time, One would have thought to have set the alarm, which Stan failed to do. As he was dressed, He speed downstairs passing through Audrey as she was about to go check on him. He also took some toast with him for a quick breakfast as he dashed out and got on his bike with his school supplies.

As Neo was waiting, Krystal arrived. They both hugged and kissed before they started talking.

"I take it Stan's not here yet?" Krystal asked.

"No. And if I'm right, he was playing on his new Spider-Man 2 game on the PS5." Neo answered.

"Well you're not wrong." Krystal said right before Stan eventually arrived, tired from the rush.

"Hey guys. Sorry about that."

"Did you stay up on your PS5?" Neo asked.

"No." Stan smiled sheepishly before Krystal raised her eyebrow, giving him the stare. He sighed. "Ok ok. I did. But it was so much fun."

"But you did remember the fliers and the quiz today. Right?" Krystal asked.

"Oh...um....well the quiz is easy but..."

"Don't worry. I figured it would happen. So I made extra. But you owe me." Neo said.

"Don't worry. I'll return the favor. I promise." Stan said.

"While I'm happy you two are enjoying your new toys, School comes first you know." Krystal said.

"And speaking of school, I hope we can save it in time." Neo added.

"We will. And don't worry. I hear the Empress of the city, Erica, is figuring something our for the school. Like a Donation or something." Stan stated.
