Xan City is on the last of its busy days. Summer was almost over and many parents or students are gathering school supplies to start a new year of school. Because of this, many stores were packed with many of these types of costumers. And often of times, they sold out and people would have to wait till they repack. Of course, not everyone waited till the last minute. Two of which were already prepared before August. Those two were Neo Phoenix and Stanton Keene.

The two boys were here in Best Buy to find a Playstation 5 game console, or PS5 for short. For the past few months, weeks after Summer started, the two were going from store to store in search for this hard to find console. Due to how impressive it is in terms of gameplay and other various things, the PS5 was sold almost everywhere much faster than school supplies. This became a problem to them, especially to Stan.

Stan was looking up and down on each shelves to see if he had missed any. So far, there was none. Neo came back from the restroom and saw Stan looking above. "Still trying to look for that PS5?"

Stan sighed and responded. "Yea. They are so fricken hard to find. I actually hoped that this store had them on for sale."

Neo then spotted an Anthro worker there and went up to him. "Excuse me sir. Are there any PS5s left?"

The Anthro shook his head. "Sorry. We sold the last one a few days ago. And before you ask, it will be about up to two weeks before we restock."

"Two weeks?!" Stan asked in horror.

"Two weeks." The worker said before returning to the front, leaving Stan in complete agitation.

"You've gotta be kidding me! I thought after we've searched Walmart, Target, and Game stop, I hoped that they would have it here!" Stan complained.

"Easy man. Why not order it online?" Neo asked.

"Because the online stores are selling at a higher price. I know better than that." Stan explained. Neo then chuckled, prompting Stan to ask. "What's so funny?"

"Do you remember the Wario bros trying to sell the switch at an insane price?"

"Oh god. What were they thinking?"

"I don't know. Money?" The boys laughed before Neo received a text. He looked it up on his phone to see it was Krystal, his girlfriend since he started Nintendo High School. He looked at her text and smiled. He than puts his phone back and asked Stan. "Stan. You still up for our last Game Night of the Summer?"

"Sure. Wait...does she?"

"Yea! She finally has it! Now we can play the game we were looking for. Now come on. Let's not miss it"

"That's awesome! I can't wait to play it. I just hope Loony will be there." Stan said.

"Of course she will. In fact, she with Krystal at the moment."

"Doing what?"

Neo took a deep breath before answering. "An errand. And no. It's not jewelry stuff like that."

Stan raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Then what?"

Neo knew what Stan would say. But he needed to know one way or the other. "She's...visiting the care taker place to see him."

Stan immediately felt his joy diminished. He knew exactly whom he was talking about: Takaya Imamura; Krystal's adoptive Father. Before Neo even came to Nintendo High, Imamura had Krystal under his care as a legal guardian. But ever since his travel for some treasure, he changed. He soon became abusive towards the blue fox to the point where she was traumatized, as well as rigging the Nintendo High system to be principle to only allow Ludus Students of pure Nintendo origin to enroll. Thanks to him, Stan had suffered so much which caused him to slit his wrist. And Corvus, an evil AI that used Stan for nourishment, soon possessed Imamura for even more strength. After Corvus was destroyed, the damaged he left behind to Imamura's already fragile and insane mindset has already pushed it to the point where it was seemingly damaged beyond repair. Now Imamura is a vegetable, requiring care 24/7. Just hearing it now made Stan's anger boil, but thankfully not to the point where his PTSD would erupt.
