Nintendo High: Junior Year

A lead!

Saturday was here and everyone was looking forward to having a good weekend. Normally the people would just bum around or do chores to earn money for junk. As for Krystal, she was getting ready to head out to see her father at the mental institute where the doctors are treating him after he reached his vegetated state.

"You want me and Alaria to come with?" Loona asked.

"No. You don't have to come with. And besides, I can tell it's very uncomfortable for you. So you can relax." Krystal said as she got her shoes on.

"Are you sure? Every time you go there alone you get upset. And it makes us worried." Alaria said.

"Don't worry. Octavia is going to be with me." Krystal said. "Go have a good weekend. Loona. You can go see Stan. And Alaria. You can enjoy the day as well. And if you see Neo, you can hang out with him."

"Well I do wanna see if that bitch is away from him. Stan is not leaving my sight." Loona stated.

"Well there is a Zoo I wanted to see, not to mention a new shake smoothie. And I'll make sure to tell Neo you said hi." Alaria added.

"Thanks girls. Take care." Krystal said before she hugged them both. The girls then left the house and went their ways: Loona hanging out with Stan, Alaria exploring the Zoo with Neo if possible, and Krystal seeing her father with Octavia.

Krystal was walking on the sidewalk in town towards her destination. With each step, she can feel her heart getting heavier and her sad emotion spiraling. Every visit was indeed painful as she would not be able to see the kind man she once knew before his corruption, therefor making each visit more painful. But she had to remain strong so that she can help her friends and the school.

As she was reaching towards the building, a portal appeared with Octavia coming through the portal and in front of the building. She sees Krystal as the portal closes and waves at her. Krystal arrived and hugged her.

"Thank you for coming Octavia. How are you?" Krystal asked.

"Doing ok. Things have been quiet at home." Octavia said as they both walked towards the building.

"You mean your parents are not around?"

"Yes. My dad's being with his new lover, whom is annoying to me."

Krystal stopped for a minute. "New lover?"

Octavia stopped. "Yep. Ever since they divorced and even before that, dad's been hanging out with some Imp named Blitz with a silent O. Hell knows why he wants a silent O."

Krystal didn't know how to respond to that. But she had to say something. Fortunately, she had something. "Well, is your dad looking after you at least?"

"Oh he is, don't get me wrong. In fact, he defended me."

"From who?"

"Mom. My dad found out that she hired a hitman to kill dad because of some affair and he was mad about it. When I confronted her about it, words were said here and there and she...she slapped me. That triggered dad and forced her out."

Krystal gasped. "Oh my god. Octavia. I'm so sorry."

"It's fine. She's dead to me now. And I'm glad Dad defended me." Octavia sighed as she looked down.

Krystal can sense she was upset. She can somehow relate over her father's abuse. Albeit due to his corruption. Krystal shocked Octavia by hugging her to make her feel better. This helped as the owl girl smiled and hugged back. After that, Krystal asked. "You want to stay at my place for the night? My doors are open."
