Dave was on the balcony once more during the night. He was more focused than ever. Not because of Nintendo High sudden change, but because the cult member they were interrogating ended his life right before he could answer. Therefore, they were back to square one. He did. It needed this.

And to make matter even more difficult, Milo was not around as he was on a date with Bayonetta once more. When Dave tried to explain, Milo just ran off. He sighed and and continue.

"Dammit. Just when we got one, he's gone. Now we need to find another in this damn city." Dave cursed.

He continued watching for any sign of the cult member. He had to move from one spot to another to cover more ground since he was on his own. Locke and Mary were unavailable due to some secret business. He never cared about. Not his business. He just needed to find one. Anyone.

An hour has passed since he started searching. And he was getting angry. No members found. No help. Nothing. He felt like he just want to hit something. But that would not anything except damaging things. And he was too smart for that.

As he was fuming, his stomach started to growl, followed by a pain. It was obvious he was hungry and he didn't bring anything with him. He sighed.

"I can't believe this. Now I have to fine something to eat." Dave complained.

He looked around to see if there was anything to eat around the city. But so far, they were either crowded, closed, or too pricy. He thought of having some gumbo from his mother. That always helped him. But he doesn't  have any at the time. So what else could he have?

As he was thinking, his nose caught some aroma of fresh food. It smelled like sushi. Dave smelled it before, but this smell was somehow more pleasant. Unable to control his hunger, he departed from his view and tried to find where the scent is.

As he got closer, Dave spotted a small outdoor bar. It was not new and not fancy. It had an old yet clean design of wood and seats near the sight where on can see the cook working on making food. There were only a few people eating there and finishing up as they left a tip and thanked whoever made it.

After they left, Dave landed onto the ground and walked up to the outdoor bar. But as he got close, he saw a familiar person. Or at this case, a familiar Cheetah Anthro.

"Hello. How can I...oh." Barbara said as she turned and saw Dave there. She was not embarrassed or shy. Just surprised.

"You're that girl from the other day at school. Barbara Rose Minerva. Right?" Dave asked.

"I am. And you are...I'm sorry. I forgot." Barbara said sheepishly.

"Lansin. Dave Lansin." He responded.

"Dave." Barbara looked at him. "So why are you here?"

Dave sat down as he answered. "I need something to eat. And what about you?"

"This is my part-time job; A sushi chef."

"You're a chef?"

"Of course." Barbara then walked up and handed him a menu. "So here is what I'm serving at the moment. Is there anything you like?"

Dave didn't look at it and just answered. "Surprise me. Whatever you make, I'll pay."

Barbara was surprised. "You sure?"

Dave nodded. Barbara smiled and turned around to get to work. She got several fresh fishes and placed them on a cutting board. And then, using her claws, she managed to cut them cleanly and evenly, much to the Phantom Human's amazement. She was handling it like a pro without any form of shyness, nervousness, or sadness. She was confident. She was fearless. It was as if she was the complete opposite. Now Dave was curious.
