I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous to go back to work, will I get the job done? Yes. Am I nervous to see buck again? Definitely yes, I put my hair in a high ponytail, and put on my necklaces with my name and the cross that belonged to my mom. Is it weird that I was starting to believe in god now? I mean everything happens for a reason, right? I was feeling better about breaking up with buck but I feel like this was meant to happen, sorta. I grab my bag and fill lunas bowl with food and water."Today is the day you finally get the house to yourself again. Don't do anything I would do, if you chew on my shoes you aren't sleeping on my bed for a good while." I rub her back then get into my car, I wear my short sleeve uniform which showed my arms and for once I wasn't worried about people seeing those scars. When I pulled into the drive way, I looked at myself in the review mirror. "Lions aren't meant for cages." I walked inside and everyone definitely noticed, "you guys could be less obvious, I know you all missed me, how cute." I made eye contact with hen and chimney with smiles on their faces.
"Woohoo! The gang is back together! I really thought you would've left us for the 136, then I thought, Artemis would just miss us too much." He jokes around, "I'm... glad to be back." No smile appeared on my face, hen knew I was nervous. "No smile? We get it, he's still not here yet, although she is." Hen points to Lucy who was leaning over the railing, I looked up and rolled my eyes. I go to put my stuff away then go upstairs with the rest of them, I sit there staring at my phone and texting Serena then buck walked in, Eddie was desperately trying to come back to the station but Bobby wouldn't let him.
Buck looked good, like really good, he grew out his hair. It was more curly, now but it was sure as hell awkward, then the bell rang, I was excited about getting out on the street again. No one was gonna take that away from me.
_________________________________I was confused why we're driving to the metro dispatch center, "all right, guys, let's get ready to go. Captain shoore." He said to the 117 captain, "captain Nash, you're first on the scene." we saw Eddie coming out the building coughing with someone's arm wrapped around his shoulder. "Records room on the second floor is fully involved. Fire could spread to the third floor, that's the main floor. Hen, the clean agent system knocked him out for a second, he took in a lot of gas but there could be a lingering narcotic effect." He hands terry to hen.
"Hen, I want you to setup a triage area in the parking garage next door." Bobby said, "copy that cap, I'm gonna need a hand." Jonah raised his hand, to be honest I had forgotten about that guy. "It is Monday." He said, hen was clearly pissed but tried to be mature. "Fine, you'll do, all right let's go." They walked away while it was just me, Bobby, buck, lucy and chim. "Chimney, put together a team from the 133, raise the ladders and start hitting that corner window."
Albert was also on the call, "copy that, Han, you're with me." I really hoped I wouldn't be stuck with the other two, "guess we're working together should be fun." Albert said but chimney shut him down immediately. "Rookie, so everything I tell you to do, do it." The smile wiped off from Albert's face, "or not." He followed chim, "Buck, Lucy, Artemis, you're going inside. You're gonna hit the fire at the source on two." He mouthed sorry to me and the three of us suited up with gas masks, I didn't want talk to them unless it was mandatory, fuck those side conversations. "Whys cap going in?" Buck asked Eddie as he was suiting up, we had to use all the help we could get. "May's still up there."
