"God, why is there always something going on with you guys in the worst moments. When I said call whenever you need me I didn't mean literally." I burst through the door and while atlas points to upstairs to which I'm assuming daddy dearest is that. "What is it so important that you had to get them to call me here?" I saw him Laying in the guest room, barely even awake and with a broken arm. "Please close the door." He commands and I scoff. I walk over to it and slam it. "There, now speak." He points to the chair, I rolled my eyes and sat down.

"I heard what you said, when I was in the hospital. You wanted answers about your mother and now I'm ready to give them to you." The attitude left my face and I looked at him up and down, was he going to be truthful about this? "Do you want my brothers in here to hear this or is it going to be another one of your many lies? Because I don't know how much this I can take anymore." He looked at me with shame on his face, fiddled with his fingers alike Apollo does when he's nervous. Guess that's who he got it from. "No, no, please stay.... look mija I never hated you, Artemis. Before you were able to process memories, I loved you and I still do. I was so happy to find out that your mom was going to at least have one girl and look at you, you're beautiful. You're a mirroring image of her."

"Then why did you kill her?" I was straight up with him, the tears were soon going to overcome me. "We all knew I struggled with addiction and it made me into the most dangerous and disgraceful human being. One night, at a bar, I had a altercation with a member of Los estrellas. The most dangerous gang in sinola, my pride got the best of me and I challenged their leader to a fight. He knew me from all my lonely nights at the bar, they were keeping an eye on us from afar. They saw one look at you kids and wanted you, I lost the fight and the bet was if I lost they would take you four." He now had tears falling down his face, one thing about my family is that when we are so disgusted by the truth, the tears don't hold back.

"They were into sex trafficking, Ari. I couldn't do that to you kids, you deserved better than what your mom and I had. I was lucky enough to get away with only a few punches in, a few days later they came knocking on the door. Your mom answered them but you know your mom and her attitude. They didn't like that, they kidnapped me and told me to either kill you four or your mom. I didn't know what to do anymore, I had to take the damn offer and that day was the last day I saw mom. We loved each other Artemis but before we had you guys, we promised to do whatever it took to make sure you were safe. Everything is my fault, god dammit!" He slammed his fist on the bed which made me startle.

"Why were you drinking so much? I spent my whole life afraid of becoming the monster you've become." I wasn't going to hold back anymore, he was going to finally hear me out. "I had went through a lot when I was younger, disowned by my own parents when they found out your mom was pregnant with you guys. I was young and fucking stupid but I knew I wanted nothing more than to start a family with her." I shook my head, "so you took it out on us? Hurt us like they hurt you? We were kids! We couldn't defend ourselves! God, I was hiding in mom's arms afraid of you killing me. Your branded all of us, half of the shit we went through will always be your fault. I tried to love you despite everything you did, but I then learned I deserve better. I will never forget where I'm from and what you did, you may have done it to protect us but now it's up to me to protect myself at all costs because of your actions."
