As Bobby drives Buck back from the hospital, he tells us that he's all clear. I didn't expect his parents to stop by, at least that's what Eddie told me. I stayed in my car talking to my brothers, who I hadn't seen in a while. Santi definitely grew, he's apparently around my height and I'm 5'4, so I'm short. I go back inside and hen begins to tell me about her medical school life, which was actually pretty interesting while Buck was talking to his parents.

"The other firefighters were very kind, we got to hear a lot of stories about you." Buck was surprised to hear his dad speaking so highly of him. "They seem to like you a great deal." a bright smile was on Buck's face but he wasn't really buying it. "Yeah... I like them too." he sits down feeling uncomfortable around them, he's expecting a big blowout from them. "I don't even know where to start." his mom says.

"I'm sorry... about Daniel, I can't imagine what that must have felt like to not be able to save someone you love." the tears were fill-in g up in his mom's eyes, his dad was going to speak up but Buck corrects him on what to call him. "Buck, that is- that's what people who know me- that's what they call me."

"Okay, buck, you have to know, we never blamed you. None of this was your fault." those words were all Buck wanted to hear, "I still wish I could've done something." Mrs. Buckley reaches out for her son's hands, "Buck, you were born to save someone, and that's what you do. Every day, we're so proud of you."

"And so are we. None of us would be standing here, if you weren't buck." the rest of us said as we were standing next to him. His parents smile, "Artemis, honey, I should apologize for what I said to you. It was horrible, you are absolutely beautiful the way you are, I should've noticed that the day I laid eyes on you. You did good, buck." me and buck awkwardly laugh and he looks at me to tell them the truth. "As much I appreciate what you said me and Buck aren't dating," we were standing there, uncomfortable until she spoke up. "That's okay honey, we can all see the way you two look at each other, you are practically in love." we look at each other and laugh then run away. "No, no, no!" everyone starts to laugh.

"Don't worry, we see it too, she's just a little sensitive to that topic," Eddie says as he leads them to the table to eat.
