Chapter 9: Sereia's Tsum I

At the Ramshackle Dorm...

Sereia is at the Ramshackle Dorm Lounge, helping Briar and the others with some cleaning. Sereia little Tsum is looking at her with curious eyes.

Sereia turns to notice her little Tsum, "Do you want to help clean up?"

The shy Sereia Tsum gestures a happy expression, and hops a little.

Sereia smiles, "Okay you can help..." Then begins to think, "But what can you do? A broom is kind of big for you to carry."

Just then, Sereia Tsum hops away for a little bit and then hops back to have a feather duster and it seems to be holding it perfectly in her little hand.

"You wanna help with the dusting?" Sereia asks.

She smiles and says, "Okay. but remember to be careful. We don't want anything breaking."

Sereia Tsum jumps happily and begins dusting. Sereia then continues sweeping the floor. Surprisingly, the Sereia Tsum is doing well with the cleaning, and the two have become well acquainted, more like friends.

Soon, Briar and the others walk into the room.

"Hey Sereia, how's the cleaning going?" Briar asks.

Briar and the Tsum stop cleaning and look to see the others.

"Hi Briar, the Tsum and I are doing fine," Sereia says.

"Sounds like you two have already become good friends," Briar says.

"Yes. The Tsum and I have been good friends," Sereia happily says.

Sereia Tsum jumps up and down with glee.

Grim looks at the Tsum, "That Tsum looks really really weird. It looks like a stuffed toy, and yet it looks a lot like you."

"It's not weird. I think it's cute," Sereia says.

Tanzanite adjusts his glasses, "Still, I've never seen a creature like a Tsum before. It looks a lot like you, it even has your accessories."

"It's also soft and squishy too," Jasper says and gently touches the Tsum.

Trinket flies to the Tsum and lets out rings with a conversation. Sereia Tsum happily jumps up and down around, and begins looking around the dorm.

"I think the Tsum is curious about the dorm we're living in," Tanzanite says.

"Yes. It's so cute the way it hops around like that. It's just too bad we can't understand what it's saying. Actually, the Tsum barely talks at all," Briar says.

"You think that Tsum can eat anything?" Grim asks.

"I'm not sure. It doesn't have a mouth either," Briar says.

Sereia looks down to see the Tsum returns to her without much trouble.

"There's still a lot we don't know about the Tsums. From what Sereia explained, they appeared through a strange portal from a beam of light. And it appears to have appeared over the Ramshackle Dorm last night," Tanzanite says.

"It does seem strange, especially since the Tsums that did appear look like some of our friends. I'm surprised to see Sereia's Tsum friend seems very well behaved," Briar says.

"What made you say that?" Jasper asks.

"Well, I've heard that some of the Tsums got into some mischief last night. Sereia even told me that Epel's Tsum counterpart tackled the headmage," Briar says.

And then Grim and Jasper start laughing.

"One of those little Tsums tackled Crowley!" Grim shouts in laughter.

Jasper snickers, "Wow. That little guy must have packed a punch."

"But Sereia's Tsum doesn't seem that way at all," Tanzanite says.

Just then, the three Ramshackle Ghosts come out and shout, "BOO!"

Everyone screams, "AAAAAHHHH!"

Even Sereia Tsum jumps in fright and quickly hides behind Sereia and shakes in fear.

"You guys!" Briar says, sternly.

"Sorry guys," Patrick says.

"We just want to give Sereia's friend a little scare," Albert adds.

Then John says, "And introduce ourselves to the new Tsum that appeared last night."

Sereia frowns, "Well, it's not nice to scare the Tsum or us like that. You scared us."

"Sorry," The Ramshackle Ghosts apologize.

"That's okay," Sereia says.

Then kneels to the Tsum, "Don't be scared. These ghosts are friends of ours and they live here like we do."

Sereia Tsum peeks out and looks to see the three ghosts.

John says, "Hi little Tsum. My name is John. This is Patrick and Albert."

Sereia Tsum then gives off a gesture of glee, and is happy to meet the ghosts.

She then hops to the ghosts and bow to each of them to say hello.

"I think the Tsum is saying hi to you guys," Briar says.

The Ramshackle Ghosts happily say, "Awww!"

"Well then, now that we finish with the introduction and clear up the trouble. We better continue cleaning," Briar says.

Grim groans, "Why do we have to keep cleaning?"

"Because we only did the cleaning for thirty minutes," Briar says.

Jasper crosses his arms, "And the first fifteen minutes we spent trying to get you to stop slacking off."

Sereia turns to the Tsum, "Well then, let's work together to help clean up the dorm with our other friends."

Sereia Tsum happily jumps for joy.
