A few days later . . .

In the Car 🚓 :

Kabir came to pick up Nishi for the Saturday Family Special at Anshuman's house. Like always, Nisha was not that excited today to meet Krish who seemed to be avoiding her from past one week. Nishi (Marilyn) asks from the passenger seat, "Again you came? Where are the other two monkeys? Are you guys that busy?"

"Today the elders were not coming with Krish-Kavya and friends na, so Ro and Aru both left with Raghav to pick them up. I'm sure they must have reached by now." Kabir says driving. A team behind them in security.

"Did something happen? They both don't talk much during the rides these days." Nishi (Marilyn) asks in a chirpy tone.

Kabir blows the horn as a car drives slowly in front of their car and he says taking a turn thoughtfully, "A crime took place near the Church in the Valley, another took place almost outside the town, so. . . .work load. Nothing much."

"Oh." Nishi (Marilyn) says and adds, "You know, the sports day this year will be celebrated after exams."

"Oh. Is it?" Kabir asks and they talk about their favourite games, players during the ride. Kabir tells her about his college days.

At Anshuman's House 🏡 :

It's a bit warm evening a week before their exams begin. It's Saturday too, so they all came at Anshuman's home today including Krish, Kavya and Ayaan. They thought Ananya better stays home with Sumit to accompany her. Their parents could not make it today due to work and to avoid attention they prefered to let the kids meet like a group study.

On the other hand, Anshuman, Tej and Vihaan, all three of them were sitting silently like three lizards on three different walls while the youngsters were chit chatting among themselves.

The youngsters and the teenagers were worried for their silent behaviour these days.

"Bhaiya, you didn't come to pick us up from last two weeks. Only Ro Bhai comes with K Bhai and Aru Bhai. Why?" Arika asks Nikita's unasked question.

"Too much work." Vihaan says with a lip tied smile and leaves for his room saying, "I need to get fresh." He tried to talk to Preet to apologise today but the woman ignored him like people ignore barking dogs on the streets.

"See. He has been behaving like that since last two weeks. But now he looks sad too. What happened to him, Bhaiya?" Nikita asks Mrityunjay and his friends who shrug. She understands Tej and Anshuman's silence but Vihaan seemed to be off earlier than that.

"पता नहीं(Don't know), Princess. We asked him many times but he stays mum." Mrityunjay says. Gia looks at a silently sitting Tej doing working on his laptop and then at Anshuman with puppy eyes but he looks away.
