Caroline's P.O.V:

I sat on the sofa with Lexi in my arms. I cried as I Stefan walked around the room with his fave in his hands. Why Bonnie would do that perplexed me. "Stefan, I'm going to bed. I will see you in the morning."

"Goodnight Caroline. I love you."

" I love you too." I stood up, walked over to Stefan and gave him a kiss. We parted and he gave his sleeping daughter a kiss goodnight too.

After putting Lexi into her cot I climbed into my bed. My head hit the pillow and I felt comfortable for once. I shut my eyes and enjoyed the silence that surrounded me. I soon drifted into a nice sleep.

I saw Lexi. I recognised Lexi. A happy, playful young girl, she looked like she was five years old, her hair was long and a beautiful shade of golden. "Lexi!" I called. She turned around and her face lit up, her green eyes glimmered in the sun as she ran up to me.

"Mummy!"

"Hey, beautiful, you ready to go."

"I can't mummy." I was confused, I took hold of her hand and looked down at her.

"Why sweetie pie?"

"If I go I won't be the same. Klaus will get me. He wants me mummy." Her face looked genuinely scared.

"He won't baby, mummy's here. I'll protect you I promise."

"I can't mummy. Don't make me." Her voice shook as she wailed.

"Baby, it's okay, let's go."

"No!" Lexi began to cry, her shouts getting louder with each one. Tears streaming down her face. I looked up as she pointed to something in front of her. It was Klaus. I knelt and took my daughter in my arms. Klaus marched over and pushed me out of the way. I was thrown a dozen meters away and watched as the day turned to night and he fed Lexi blood before snapping her neck. I screamed.

I was awoke by Stefan shaking me. I sat up breathing heavily and sweating. "Baby! You okay?" I felt my eyes circle the room, probably in search of klaus. "Caroline, look at me. Cara. Please. Look at me. Baby." I turned my eyes to Stefan's, our eyes were locked into each other's. I leaned forward and rested my forehead on his. My breathing steadied and I was able to let my heart rate to calm. "Tell me what happened." He finally said. I nodded and began to tell him the dream.

Damon's P.O.V:

Bonnie walked into mine and Elena's room, we weren't asleep, we just lay there in each other's company. That was before Bonnie rushed in. In tears. "What's up Bonnie?" Elena asked.

"I tried to help, but Lexi was getting hurt, I was nearly finished, but Caroline stopped me and told me to leave. I don't think she'll want my help. I know the spell now though." Elena and I rushed toward Bonnie, Elena hugged her.

"It's okay, we'll explain." Bonnie nodded and wiped her tears.

"I was nearly there."

"I know, we'll try again when she's older maybe."
