Chapter7:A Date?

Aurora's POV:-

It's been a while since I felt this excited.Today,I woke up with a bright smile, immediately took a bath,and adorned a powder blue floral dress.I styled my soaked hair, wore small golden hoop earrings,and stepped into my new block heels.

At 10AM,I messaged Adain:-

- "Hey,will you be late?"

- "Ready?"

- "Yup."

- "On my way to pick you up,
   Cariad."

- "Okay."

As he's coming to pick me up,uh-huh not in that way, Aura.I chuckled at the sudden thought and blushed,but a honk brought me back to reality.He arrived early.Going outside,he stood in front of the car with a bouquet of red roses, handing them to me, saying, "Take it as compensation."
I hugged him casually.

Aiden's POV:-

I was awakened by a call at 7 in the morning,and unsurprisingly,it was Jimmy. Always the early morning caller.I answered.

- "Good morning, Aiden."

- "Good morning."

- "How was last night, hmm?"
   He asked sarcastically.

- "It was a remarkable
   experience.We're going out
   today."

- "Wow, brother,you're faster
   than I thought.At least 
   tell me her name."

- "Aurora."

- "Wait,what? Did you go to
   meet her instead?"

- "Nah,it's a long story."

- "But I told you to stay away
   from her,didn't I?"
   I've never seen Jim angry,
   but I tried to calm him.

- "Yeah, you did. But I don't
   know why, Jim, we meet
   coincidentally."

- "This is bullsh*t, Aid.
   You're gonna meet many
   girls like he-"

- "Enough, Jim... I've loved
   only once in my life, and
   she is the one for me. If
   she can't be mine, it's
   okay—I will support her
   till my last breath."

- "If that's what you think,
   then I won't stop you. But
   please be sure to call me
   if anything happens."

- "Okay. And thanks for
  listening, Jimmy."He
  sighed.

- "Take care, brother."

As I was getting ready, a notification popped up, and Ooh! It's Cariad. By seeing her message, it's like she's more excited than I am. Today, I wore a navy blue suit with a white shirt, hoping to look good.

While driving, I noticed a flower shop at the corner and decided to buy some for her. I opted for red roses, imagining how she would look in this color. Though she's even more beautiful in real life.

Upon reaching outside, I gave a honk. Stepping out of the car, I stood in front of it with a bouquet in hand. When she emerged, I was shocked to see her in this adorable dress, resembling a blue bird. Handing her the bouquet, she hugged me, and I became intoxicated by her fragrance. A sudden urge to hold her tightly surged within me. How am I going to resist her the whole day?

In the car, I was driving, and I took a side peek at her; she was already looking at me. I shifted my eyes back to the road.
"So, where are we heading to?" she asked.
"Ahmm-it's a little surprise for you."

"Ohkay," she replied, smiling at me. For today's date,
♡I had planned a picnic at vineyards and orchards
♡followed by dinner at The Walnut Tree restaurant
♡and a surprise for her.
After a half-hour drive, we reached our destination.

"Are we here for a picnic?" she asked as we entered the vineyard in the car.

"Yes,Cariad.You didn't like it?" I asked nervously.

"What are you saying? I've never been to any vineyard. It's my first time today."

"What?.Then I think we should've met sooner."

"Yeah, then things would have been better," she mumbled.

"You said something?"

"Ah-no."

Today, we picked some grapes and enjoyed delicious desserts at the table. Aiden then suggested,
"Do you want to crush grapes in a big bucket?"

"No way, can we really do that too?" I asked.

He chuckled,"Yes,Cariad."

"Can I ask you one thing, Aiden?"

"Yeah."

"What does Cariad mean?"

He coughed, "Ahmm-An elegant woman."

"Oh.You think I am elegant?"
"Yeah.I do."

Every word that came out of this man's mouth gives me butterflies. He folded his sleeves and rolled up his pants to his knees. Then, we headed to crush grapes, washing up our feet before climbing into the bucket barefoot.

As we started smashing them, I slipped, and Aiden grabbed my hand.
"Tha-thanks,Aiden," I stuttered.

"No,it's okay.Now give me your second hand," he held out his hand to me.

"Okay," I held his hand until we were inside the bucket.

It was so much fun, and we laughed a lot.
After this activity, I cleaned my feet, and we headed to the car.
As time flew, I noticed it was already 3 o'clock. After an hour's drive,we reached a cemetery.My curiosity increased, but I decided to stay silent.
We stood at a grave named [Louis Cadriff 1952-2018].

"This is my grandmother's grave, and she is one of the people I loved the most. I'm sorry for bringing you for today's outing."

"No,not at all. But I'm glad you thought I was eligible to come here with you. Hello Grandma, I'm Aiden's friend,"

I said to grandma, hoping she could see us.
After standing there for two minutes,I said my goodbyes,and as we sat in the car,Aiden said,
"Now it's time for dinner."

"Yayy,"I said joyfully.

After an hour...

Damn, he chose places quite distant from each other. I'm surprised he brought me along to visit his grandma's grave; it seems he thinks highly of me. But what if he finds out that I'm nothing but a foolish person blindly in love with someone who feels nothing but disgust for me?

I glance at Aiden and wonder why I didn't meet him before Cole. At least now, we can be good friends.
Let's see where we eat.
