Aiden's POV:-
Today marks a week since meeting Aurora. I shouldn't dwell on her, but it seems she's more willing to converse with a stranger than her husband. Lost in thoughts, a knock interrupts my musings.
"May I come in, sir?"
"Yeah, Jimmy, no need for formality."
"You know why I can't."
"Yeah," I replied, leaning back in my chair.
"So, today's plan? "
"You've got a meeting with Sherins and Mr. Smith's reception."
"Okay, but seriously, Jimmy, I don't feel like attending."
"Mrs. Wilson will be ther-."
"I'm going too," I blurted out, my heart started racing at the thought of her.
"Haha, what a sudden change. I'll arrange everything for the evening."

Entering the banquet, I congratulated the newlyweds, searching for her.
Spotting Aurora from afar, a smile appeared on my face involuntarily.
Approaching her,we started talking and my eyes fixated on her black gown and beautiful earrings.
She looked breathtaking, munching on her cupcake like a hamster. Hamster? I burst into laughter on my own thoughts, she got offended and I apologised immediately.
Then She asked for my number, and I eagerly gave it. As night fell, I yearned for her contact, wondering if I misread our friendship.
Then I drifted off to sleep.

Disturbed by a dream, It was 8 a.m., and I couldn't believe I dreamt such things at this age.
With a headache, I decided to take a bath. I adhere to my dad's rule of no phone before breakfast.Opening it, I found a message from Aurora two hours old.
-"hey Adain,Aurora here "
I replied.
-"Hey Aurora."
And Jimmy called with updates.
"Good morning, Aiden."
"Morning, Jimmy. Any updates?"
"Yeah. Meet me at Arena."
"On my way. Can you handle it till then?"
"Of course, sir."
At Arena...
Jimmy had two enemies restrained. After a brief exchange, I initiated my interrogation.
"I can handle from here,Jim. You better tell me if the number of people increases."
"Sure, Aiden. But finish these bastards first."
"As you wish.Now,two of you will tell me the truth about your owner's next strategy,or should I start my therapy session for you?"
"Who the hell do you think you are?" (Guy 1)
"You'll find out if you don't give me a reliable answer."
"What will you give us if we tell you everything?"(Guy2)
"I will spare your life. Your time starts now, tell me everything."
"Let's see what you've got, MF."(Guy1)
"Untangle both of them, Jimmy!" I yelled, hastily removing my blazer.
Jimmy promptly untangled them.
Aiden choked one and landed punches on his chest and left him lifeless. As the first one attacked from behind, Aiden turned with a smile, leaving him with a bloody and broken face Covered in blood.
Jim informed him of a message from Someone.
"Hey bro,someone messaged you."
"Who is it?"
"Mrs. Cardiff."
"Who?" He looked with suspicion.
"Aurora Cardiff " and Jim started laughing his a** off.
"Don't tease me. Jimmy" Aiden took his phone from Jim's hand.And sees the message from Aurora,
-" would you like to go for shopping?"
Huh? For shopping. Is she asking me for date?
"Buddy ,Clean your hands first and tell me what she said ?"
"She want to go on a date."
"A date ? With you ? Show me her message." Jim clarified that it is not a date.
"And you can't go on like this. Buddy, you shouldn't think about her this much. This will hurt you more and trust me I know how it feels, and I am serious about it."
" practically, you are right.
Let's not think about it We should get back to work...And remember to parcel these dogs to there owners ."
"Sure. And tell her you are busy "
"Ohkay." He said with a heavy heart.
