Chapter 7

"What?" I exclaimed. "Why on earth should I go to the airport? I thought you needed me at the office?"

"Yeah, sure, but you see, my brother called this morning and said that he will be arriving....ahm." He paused a moment and then said. "In half an hour, maybe?"

"What? But you said he was supposed to be arriving next week."

"That's what he had told me. But it seems he's coming before. He ended his filming and decided to grab a plane and come early. Now baby, would you do me a favour and go to greet him as I'm pretty tied up."

I sighed, trying to control my exasperation and anger. I hated it when Leo told me things at the last minute. "

"This is ridiculous. I can't believe he called you this morning."

He cleared his throat. He did that when he felt guilty or tried to hide something from me.

"Leo. He called you this morning, right?"

"Well, not exactly, actually he called yesterday after I left you, but I was too busy to answer him so he left a message which I only listened to this morning. Baby, I have an appointment soon. Bri, please, can't you go for him?"

"But why me? I mean, can't you call a taxi or something?"

"It would be rather cold to send a taxi since. He would be offended, I'm sure."

I raised an eyebrow. "Wouldn't he still be offended if you don't go?" I asked.

"Not if I send a beautiful woman like you. I'm sure he'll forget about my absence." He said. I would have slapped him had I been near him. But I couldn't, so I just gave up. Now it was useless to argue.

"And where should I take him?"

"Well, we were supposed to have lunch at the Grand Hotel. Take him there. I'll come to meet you as soon as I finish. I'll text him to tell him you're coming for him, so he gets no surprises. Now go, my brother hates to wait."

"He'll have to wait. I don't do magic and I can't fly. It will take me at least forty minutes to arrive." I grumbled.

"Thank you, sweetheart. You're the best. See you later."

"Hey wait Leo, how will I recognize him?"

But Leo had already hung up.

"Hey, what's up?" Pam asked. "Who do you have to go to greet at the airport?"

"Leo's brother. He's arriving in half an hour."

Pam's eyes widened.

"Oh my God!" she exclaimed. "Really? Liam Baxter?"

"Why the big fuss?"

"He's a celebrity Bri. He's the most handsome guy on earth."

"Really?" I asked.

"You don't know who he is?" Pam looked almost scandalized.

"No!"

"How? This is impossible. Everyone knows him. I'm watching a series in which he stars. It's called the Heist."

"I'm sorry I don't know whom you're talking about. I don't watch movies or series you know that. And whenever I switch the TV on is to watch the news or a documentary."

"That's boring." She said." Didn't you even watch Dango? Or the Last Warrior? And yeah there was SPy Tiger as well. He's gorgeous Bri."

Nothing of what she was saying sounded familiar.
