...late night. Thomas was still in his office. Lighting cigarette after cigarette. He used to laugh a lot yet not anymore....just closed his eyes and leaned back on chair and the flashlights from the past came back...again and again...Scenes from the war. These noises of a shovels digging the stones and the ground. Shell shock he manages to control it but now in some moments this flashbacks came back more strongly then ever. All that pictures from the tunnells and the lost of his friends made him closed, calculated and cold.

"I see. Maybe yo should leave someone else to take care of t'e races and yo manages t'e Orphanage 'omes and t'e liquor business."

Sat on the chair against his desk.

"Tomorrow is t'e Worcester races...I just wanted to see everythin' is moving acording plan."

He blew a smoke and looked at the bets.

"According plan yo say?" I looked around myself. Then I continued:

"Grace's Secret is ready I told Marley she can be taken to t'e races." I crossed my arms resume :

"Did yo talk to Lees about t'e magic 'orse."

"Yeah sent John and Arthur to search for 'em."

He looked at the watch and stood up walking towards me.

"Tommy, eyyy allow yourself to be a beginner no one starts off being excellent." I gazed at him.
