Roop's Pov

The harsh lights in the hospital hallway cast an eerie glow, making everything feel cold and lifeless. I sat on the hard bench, my whole body shaking as I controlled my sobs, leaning on Bhai's shoulder. It felt like the world was ending.

Eight long, painful hours had crawled by since we brought Aary to the hospital. His surgery was still going on, and every second felt like torture. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't think straight. All I could do was pray and hope.

I was so grateful to have Rahul and Bhai with me. Without them, I don't know how I would have survived seeing Aary's eyes close while he was in my arms. That moment kept replaying in my mind, tearing me apart from inside out.

When Aary passed out, I felt so helpless. But then Rahul showed up, and he and their friend Nikolai carried Aary to the hospital. It all happened so fast, like a blur. I was shocked to see Bhai there too when we left the mansion.

After we got Aary into the ICU, Bhai told me everything. How they found out where I was, how they came to rescue me. Hearing how much they all cared, how far they'd gone to save me, made me cry even harder. I felt loved, but also scared to death that I might lose Aary forever.

After watching the photo of Rishabh with men from the Bianco group, which I don't know what is, Aary was sure where to find me. He knew for sure that I was in New York. He contacted one of their friends, Nikolai and asked him to set out the target till he landed in New York.

Bhai and Rahul came along with Aary, heading straight to the isolated mansion I was kept in after the landing. When they reached near mansion, Nikolai was ready with a full force to take down Rishabh and the whole of Bianco Group.

Bhai was ready to take a gun and enter the mansion with them, but Aary stopped him, saying, "We're here to save Roop. And I won't be able to forgive myself if anything happens to you in that process. You mean a lot to her, Rishi."

One line made me cry even more.

How dare he fucking get hurt when he knows that he means just as much to me?

Eight endless hours passed, filled with a silence so heavy it felt like it could crush us. The quiet in the hospital was worse than any scream, weighing down on our hearts and minds.

I could feel the warmth of my brothers, Bhai and Rahul, beside me. Their presence was a small comfort in this nightmare. Rahul had tried so hard to console me when I first broke down, but I could see the tears he was holding back. His pain mirrored my own, making my heart ache even more.

Bhai couldn't sit still, pacing back and forth, wearing a path in the floor. His face was tight with worry, even though he tried to hide it. He had said he hated Aary, but I knew the truth. No matter how much he disagreed with Aary, he still cared for him like family. They had already called home and told them about the situation. Kaya Maa, Papa were already on their way, coming to New York.
