Roop's Pov

One moment. That's what it takes to turn your whole world upside down. I kept flying high, thinking that everything was perfect, that I was living my dream life, that I was falling in a beautiful feeling of love. Only for it all to be a lie. Only for me, to fall back to reality with a massive thud that left me with nothing but bleeding in hurt.

One click and it all ended.

"I have a deal for you. A much more convenient one." Aary declared in a cunning tone. Rahul just sat there, attentively listening to his best friend.

In front of them Anand's face lightened with happiness after listening to Aary's words, "Thank you, thank you Mr Malhotra."

An evil smirk grazed on Aary's lips, "Don't thank me yet. Listen to me first."
Rahul saw that smirk and looked down, closing his eyes, already knowing where this conversation was headed.

Anand nodded, a smile still plastered on his face, "Please, please, continue."

Aary smiled, leaning in a little, "I'll extend our original deal and even add the new idea you have in your mind in it."

Anand nodded happily, and Aary continued, "In consideration of this deal, you'll make Roop sign the papers I give and marry her off to me."

Anand stood up from his chair abruptly, confusion etched on his face, "What?"
Rahul closed his eyes, shaking head slightly.

Aary shrugged, "Just what you listened."

Anand shook his head, thinking that this was kind of a joke, "Mr Malhotra, that's not fair. Tell me you're joking."

Aary kept his calm, and asked slowly with a blank face, "Have I ever?"

Anand knew him very well. He gulped, shaking his head again, "S-She is my daughter."

Aary smiled, "That's why I am asking politely, Mr Agnihotri. Otherwise, she'd be at my feet the moment my eyes fell on her."

Anand marched towards him, "You-"

Aary stood up, stuffing his hands in his pocket in nonchalance, "You sure, you want to deny me, Mr Agnihotri?"

Anand stopped dead in tracks. He knew what Aary was capable of doing. He fisted his fingers, anger evident on his face, "That won't happen."

Aary sighed, "Rahul, give us a minute alone?"

Rahul looked at him in confusion, "But-"

Aary just looked at him, and Rahul nodded with a sigh. He gave Anand a last sympathetic look before he left the room, already making a call to make arrangements about the deal. He knew Aary. If he wanted it this way, he'll get it this way only. No matter what happens.
