Rishabh walked in his office, welcomed by a long swirling haze of smoke that veiled his path. At the far end of the room, a figure loomed by the window, lazily puffing on a cigarette. Rishabh's jaw ticked as he saw the man, "What the fuck are you doing here?"

The man turned around with a smug face, "I thought you would be at the party."

Ignoring the taunt, Rishabh slammed his phone onto the desk. The man smirked, as he approached Rishabh, "Weren't you invited? Not even for the engagement?"

Rishabh's fingers curled into a tight fist. His face was hard with anger. The man's smirk only widened, he walked up to Rishabh to stand in front of him, his voice dripping with mockery, "Aww. Twinkle didn't invite you?"

Rishabh glared at him, shooting daggers through his gaze, "Don't you say her name by your filthy mouth."

A dark chuckle rumbled from the man's lips, "I don't get it. What's so special about her? That the two of you are so bewitched by her."

Rishabh looked at the other side, his hand etching towards his gun and the man clicked his tongue, "But he won. He got her. And you? You not only failed to play your part but lost her, too."

Rishabh looked into his eyes, grinding his teeth in frustration, "I will. Aaryavir will be dead and Twinkle will be mine."

The man shook his head, drawing another drag from his cigarette, "We don't need to kill him, let's kill the girl, he'll crumble like a house of cards."

In the next second, Rishabh withdrew his gun out of his pocket and pointed it straight at the man's head, "If you say anything about hurting her one more time, I'll kill you myself. My job be damned."

The man didn't even flinch. He kept looking at him and took another drawl, "Then plan something that won't just kill that basterd. Do something that'll fucking break him apart. Kill him from inside, piece by piece."
He said, before leaving Rishabh behind to worry in the depths of the smoke-filled room, with dark thoughts and darker intentions.

I signed the last page of the file, after conducting a one last scan on the last page. As my gaze landed on all the files pending on my desk a sudden pang of weariness gripped my mind. I exhaled deeply before taking another file in my hands.

Fuck, I'm going to kill that basterd Rahul for my busy as fuck last week. He had to plan the New York trip so urgently? I know the reason, and I can't even blame him for his empathetic self. But now I'm stuck with this paperwork. And it's not even fucking ending. I've been here since 6 in the morning. With a mere sleep of 5 hours. I should've just taken these files with me on the trip. It all would've been done by now.
