Pezzy's POV

"I'll be there in half an hour, hold onto your nutsack for a second!" "Jesus, fine!" I rolled my eyes and hung up on Droid as I walked back over to where Puffer and Grizzy were sitting. "How long will he be?" "He said half an hour!" Puffer groaned. "Can we at least get something to eat, I'm starving..." Grizzy whined. As we were waiting for our orders I saw a woman I know I had never seen walk into the cafe. And I couldn't take my eyes off her. It sounds creepy, but it was the truth.

"Pezzy? Earth to Pezzy!" I felt Puffer smack the back of my head. "What the hell was that for?!" "Stop staring at her or else you'll scare her away before she's ordered anything!" Grizzy burst out laughing, and I couldn't help but laugh as well. Then the woman walked up to our table. "Excuse me, but this group of weirdos has been following me for a little bit, can one of you pretend to be my boyfriend please?" "Yeah, sure!" I slid across the booth into the corner so she could sit down next to me.

"I'm Max, that's Nelson, and that's Chris." I introduced us all to her. "I'm Y/N." "Beautiful name." I swear I could've seen her blush, but maybe it was my eyes. I passed Y/N a menu so she could decide on what to order. "What do you want, babe?" I rested my head on her shoulder. "Honestly, I don't know...I think I might just get a drink, I'm not really that hungry..." "Do you want me to pay for it?" "Are you sure?" "I'm sure, love." I kissed her cheek. After we received our orders Y/N looked behind her to see if that group were still watching her.

"Max, they're still there..." She whispered into my ear. "It'll be fine, Nelson will handle it. Have you seen the guy? He could probably take them all out with one punch." Then the group walked in and sat at a table near ours and I could see the look of clear distress on Y/N's face. "It'll be okay, love..." I took her hand in mine. "I'll tell Droid to meet us near the gym..." Puffer whispered and I nodded in agreement.

"I don't want to be a bother, but is it okay if I come with you?" "Yeah, of course!" After quickly finishing up our orders we paid and left. "Thanks for that, guys..." Y/N breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh, shit." "What?" "I need to pick up C/N from school..." "Do you want me to come with you?" "Are you sure? I don't want to interrupt what you're doing..." "No, it's fine. I'm sure Droid won't mind us pushing this video back a few days, right?" "Yeah, we'll let him know." "Bye guys!" Me and Y/N split off from Puffer and Grizzy in the direction of the school.

"I did ask C/N's dad to pick them up from school, but he messaged me last minute saying he got drunk and wouldn't pick them up..." "What an asshole." "That's too nice of a word." I nodded and didn't ask further. We were soon stood at the school gates with a few other parents and carers. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw a woman with pink hair walking up to us.

"Y/N! Happy birthday!" "Oh, thank you!" "And who's this with you?" "Oh, um-" "I'm her boyfriend, Max." "Well, it's nice to meet you Max. Y/N, here's your present." "Aw, thank you, Cat!" "I'll see you on Friday! Bye!" "Bye!" Y/N turned to face me. "It's your birthday?!" "Mhm!" "If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?" "I'm thirty-seven." "No you're not." "I am!" My jaw dropped. And to prove it, Y/N pulled out her ID.
