(a/n: heyyyy!!! did you miss me?? because I missed you!! for those that didn't know I currently have tonsillitis and last Tuesday I was sent to the hospital because of it. spent 7 hours in there and I honestly do not wish for anyone else to get it because it is hell on earth. but moving on from that, I thought I'd write something on a more personal experience again, so please keep it respectful. and it just so happens to be pride month, so I'm gonna incorporate that into it. I feel like I've gone on long enough by now. thank you for being so patient with me, happy pride month, stay safe, and without further ado, enjoy!!)

Y/N's POV

Ever since I was about 11 years old, I knew I didn't feel like a girl. But I also didn't feel a boy, you know. It wasn't until I was about 13 years old that I met my now best friend Sage and they helped me explore my gender identity. That's when I learned I was non-binary, and it all made sense to me. Like when you finally complete a jigsaw and you're putting that last piece in. That's what it felt like.

The only people that knew about my gender identity were Sage, my boss and my family. And after asking for Sage's advice I decided to come out to my boyfriend and his friend group. My heart was pounding as I knocked on the front door. And a few seconds later the front door opened to reveal my boyfriend standing on the other side with a big smile plastered on his face.

"There's my baby, come on in!" Max kissed my forehead as he lead me to his living room where Grizzy, Droid and Puffer were sat. "Hey, guys!" I greeted them all as I sat down next to Max. "Hey, Y/N!" I looked up at the TV screen and saw they had some of Grizzy's old videos on, making me giggle. But then I remembered what I came here to do.

"Um, guys? Can you pause that for a second, I need to talk to you. It's kind of serious..." "Yeah, sure! What's up, Y/N?" I had all four pairs of eyes on me, and my mind almost blanked. But then I remembered Sage's advice.

"So...for a really long time, I haven't felt like I was a girl, but I also haven't felt like a guy, you know?" "So you feel like you're in the middle?" I looked over at Droid. "If you want to think of it like that, yes. I just...I just feel like I don't I identify with either gender, so...basically what I'm trying to say is I'm non-binary, and I would like you guys to use any pronouns for me. So, she/her, he/him, they/them, whatever." "Yeah, we can do that!" I felt the biggest smile growing on my face.

"Aw, thank you guys!" I went round and gave them all big hugs. "Your support means everything to me..." I didn't even notice I was crying until Max wiped a tear away. "I love you so much, and I'm so proud of you for coming out to us..." That made my heart really happy. "I love you too, and thank you for supporting me..." I kissed his cheek.

THE NEXT DAY...

I heard a knock on my front door. Looking through the peephole I saw Max on the other side. "Hey! What are you doing here?" I stared at him bewildered, genuinely not expecting to see him today. "I got you a present!" I let him in and followed him into my living room.

"I just wasn't expecting to see you today because you told me last night that you were gonna be busy all day today." "Well some things got cancelled and I figured I'd make time to see my gir- er, part-" "I don't mind what you call me." I reassured Max after seeing the stressed look on his face.

"Okay, I just didn't want to offend you." "Honestly I don't think you could." I watched as Max pulled out a wrapped present. "It's not even my birthday!" "I know it isn't, but I felt a present like this needed to be wrapped up." I tore into the wrapping paper until I saw four flags sitting inside some plastic wrapping.

"You got me flags?!" I looked over at Max. "Yeah! I got two for your office and two for your bedroom!" I started tearing up. "Thank you, Max..." I hugged him tight. I genuinely couldn't have asked for a more amazing and supportive boyfriend.
