You woke up in your bed back at the Kageyama house. You didn't know how you got there. You remembered being in the gym with the team for practice. So how did you get home?
You got off of your bed, your head pounding. You walked to the living room. There, you were met with Kageyama and Iwaizumi.
"Tobio? Iwaizumi-senpai? What's going on?"
They both looked at you, concern clear in their widened eyes.
Iwaizumi sighed with relief. "I'm glad you're alright, L/n. I panicked a bit when you passed out, and called Kageyama right after. He sent me the address, and I carried you here."
You almost couldn't believe he'd do that for you. "Oh, ok. Thank you, senpai."
He nodded. "You gave the coaches and the rest of the team a bit of a scare."
'Not Oikawa, though.'
Kageyama sighed. "Go back to bed, Y/n. You hit your head. Go get some more rest."
"I'm fine." You lied.
Iwaizumi shook his head. "Please rest, we really need you to get better. Coach Irihata already called Oikawa, and told him not to go to practice until the doctors say his knee's all better. You should also stay home, and away from practice until a doctor says you're good."
You nodded, turning back to go to your room. "Ok. Thanks again. See ya, I'll be going back to bed."
You backed back to your room. The moment you laid down on your bed, you burst into tears. You felt so much pain, and didn't know what to do in that moment.
You door opened, revealing Iwaizumi, who came up to check on you. He smiled slightly, walking over to your bed and sitting down on the edge. "L/n."
"Why is Oikawa avoiding me?"
He sighed. "I'm not completely sure. He's been acting weird since Kageyama said something to him yesterday. Maybe he feels guilty, or he might finally be understanding how you've felt the pst few years."
"How?"
"Well, didn't he tell you that the person you really liked had never liked you back?"
You nodded, feeling that ache in your chest like before.
"Kageyama pretty much said the same thing, so Oikawa's in the same boat as you now. He might've realized just how terribly he treated you in the past, even though that's not how he meant it to be."
"I'm not mad at him anymore. I just - I want to understand him better." You didn't know how to say what you wanted, what you were feeling. You thought this should be a good start.
Iwaizumi placed a hand on you shoulder. "Why don't you text him first? Maybe he'll respond if he sees you want to talk to him."
"Ok. Thanks for everything, Iwaizumi-senpai."
"No problem." He got up, leaving you alone in your room. He pulled the door closed behind him on his way out, like the gentleman he is. He walked back down to the living room, wishing Kageyama a good night before leaving your house, heading to his own home.
You pulled out your phone, and opened the message thread between you and Oikawa.
You: Oikawa-senpai, can we talk please?
Oikawa: Y/n-chan? What is it?
You called him.
"Y/n-chan?"
"Oikawa-senpai, I- I'm sorry."
"Why are you apologizing?"
"It's my fault that you're avoiding me, right? It's my fault you're feeling hurt."
