"Hm~"

"Hmm~"

Sounds of humming could be heard as the glasses girl approaches TAPOPS-U's garden. As soon as the metallic door opens, she was met with greenery plants surrounding the area. The fresh air calms her instantly.

The girl stepped into the room with a potted plant in her hands. The blue spotted plant from Planet Rimbara bobbed its leaves as the girl walks to one of the tables in the room with other plants from the same planet on top of it.

"Hey Ying!"

The dino hat boy with a leaf emblem appeared out of nowhere, startling the teen girl as she was about to put down the plant. "Boboiboy!" Ying shouted, anger written on her face. "Don't scare me like that!" She huffed.

"Hehe, sorry~" The boy apologised, sticking out his tongue. Ying deadpanned at him, sighing as she went back to do her task of putting down the potted plant with its other species.

"What are you doing here?" She asked while watering the plant a bit with a small green watering can. She then turned to look at him, leaning on her side with her arms crossed. "The usual," The boy responded, shrugging his shoulders. "Tending to my plants of course!" He grinned.

"Oh that's right!" He shouted, hitting his left palm with his right hand closed. "I wanna show you something!" He said, sparkles appeared in his big eyes. "First Blaze, now you?" She mumbled. Duri tilted his head, questioning. "Nothing." Ying shook her head.

"What is it?" She asked.

Duri's smile grew bigger, his face radiating with joy. He brought her to the corner where he grows his own plants, either natural or from his own powers. Ying looked at the number of different species of plants in his corner and one of them caught her eyes as the plant 'stares' at her.

"I want you to meet Mr. Pitcher Plant!" Ying looked up at the said plant, that looked to be 'different' than the normal pitcher plants. It was bigger and taller, and somehow a bit creepy. It seems as if it would eat humans if given the chance to, especially since its mouth is almost the same size as her.

"You know..." Ying started, looking at the plant. "You really have horrible naming skills." She continued. Duri gave her a blank face. "Do you have any better name?" The boy pouted.

"Hmm.." Ying rubbed her chin as she thinks before snapping her fingers. "How about Pitch?" She smiled at him. Duri stared at her for a while before his face scrunched up, as if he find the name disgusting. "That's so ugly." He said.

Ying's smile slowly turned downwards as a red tick formed on her head. Ying clenched her fist in anger. "Well, it's better than yours!!" She shouted angrily. "It's simpler and easier to say!" She remarked, crossing her arms. "Plus, it's cuter." She huffed.

The leaf element ignores her retort as he went back to look at his plant. "Anyway! Ying, this is Mr. Pitcher Plant—", "You mean Pitch?" The girl cut him off, crossing her arms. The boy simply smiled, though it seems as though a vein popped on his forehead. "—And Mr. Pitcher Plant this is Ying!" Duri continued introducing the two, pointing at the respective names.

The plant 'waves' at her with its leaf, smiling happily. Ying returned the greeting back, smiling awkwardly. A drool came out of its mouth as it dropped to the ground, a small crater appeared around the area where it hits.

Ying's face turned pale, realising its acid. She quickly glanced at the green boy beside her, inching closer to him. "Hey.. umm.. Boboiboy?" The girl whispered, her eyes locked onto the plant. The said boy hums, tilting his head to look at her.

"Why- what exactly is this?" She asked, gesturing her hands to the plant. "Oh! He's one of my children!" He extended his hand to the plant, to which it understood the boy's intention. The plant bends its head towards the green boy making it easier for him to reach it. Duri pats the plant's head, it leans more as it likes the touch.

"I grew him with my powers!" He proudly said, puffing out his chest. "Does he perhaps.. eat humans..?" She asked, lowering her voice at the last part. "Of course not!" Duri shouted, giggling, finding the question somewhat ridiculous. "Well, he is a carnivorous plant, but that doesn't mean he eats people!" The leaf element explained. "He still eats insects" He continued.

"O-okay..?" Ying said unsure. "Try patting him, he likes that!" Duri said eagerly, his eyes seemingly turned bigger. Ying looked at the plant, then back at him. His puppy eyes made her unable to refuse as she sigh and nervously hovered her hand towards the plant.

Mr. Pitcher Plant's smile grew bigger as it leaned forward to the girl. The plant lowered its head, exposing its flat wide head. Ying rest her hand on top of it, slowly rubbing it. After a while, she began to get used to it and eventually started to like the plant.

"He's actually so sweet" Ying said, putting down her hand after patting the plant. Before Duri was about to respond, the plant opened its mouth wide, and chomped at the glasses girl's head.

"Ying?!" The boy shouted worriedly. Panicking, the girl desperately tries to get out of its mouth while the owner of the plant kept shouting for it to let her go. In the end, Duri had to use his powers to carefully pry the plant off of her head, making sure not to accidentally decapitate her.

"I'm so sorry, Ying.." Duri apologizes after he saved her, his head down in guilt. The plant beside them also felt guilty for its actions as it lowered its head, murmuring incomprehensible sayings. The glasses girl stared at the two after she had gotten over the shock of having almost eaten alive by a monster plant.

Ying sigh tiredly. It's a good thing the plant's 'saliva' didn't manage to touch her. She turned to look at the ground for a moment before looking back up at them, smiling. "It's fine." She said. Duri became teary eyed, he became even more guilty as he thought that he should've made sure his plant wouldn't cause trouble.

Duri conjured a bouquet of flower lilies and gave it to her, hoping she would forgive him. "Sorry.." He mumbled. The plant, who was the cause of all this, also took out a single flower of a white lily. "I told you it was fine.." Ying mumbled. "But thank you." She smiled at them.

"Pitchy!" Ying came into the garden, skipping on her feet with a big smile on her face. The said plant turned its head to her, beaming with a big smile on its face as soon as she came in. The two embraced as if they haven't seen each other in so long.

Meanwhile, the leaf element who was tending to his plants stared at them in confusion.

"Since when were you two so close?" The boy questioned. "Since a while ago" The girl responded, receiving a yellow rose from the plant as it tucked the flower behind her right ear. Ying patted the plant as a thank you.

Duri's eye twitches as he stared at the two's interaction. "Ying." He called out to her. The girl hums as a response, turning her head slightly to look at him. The boy came closer to her, taking off the rose from her hair, the action startled the girl a bit, her cheeks turned red at the touch.

Duri changed the flower into a yellow tulip with his power. "I think this suit you more." He said as he tucked the now yellow tulip flower behind her ear. He then went away going back to his previous task, leaving the girl alone. The pitcher plant tilted his head, confused with his owner's actions.

Ying stood still with her face now bright red.

I realised that I drew a venus fly trap instead of a pitcher plant but I have always imagined him to look like that so I'll just kept it.
