Butterfly

'Ting~'

The blue dino capped boy smiled brightly at the sound, with a pair of mittens he went to open the oven door. The smell of sweet freshly baked cookies filled the kitchen area as he took it out from the oven. Right now, he's in TAPOPS-U's kitchen area baking cookies for his friends.

"Hm~ Hmm~" He hums while putting some cookies in a plate, he then put the leftovers in a glass jar. "Hm?" He noticed someone coming in the kitchen as the metallic doors opens. He smiled brightly seeing who it was.

"Hey Ying!"

The said girl smiled as she greeted him back. "Want one?" He offered, giving out the cookies to her. The girl stared at the cookies, it was decorated with chocolate chips. Ying smiled and took one of the cookies. "Thanks!" She said, biting down on the cookie she took.

Sweetness filled her mouth as soon as it entered, "Mmm~ So good~" She said, putting her right hand on her face as she enjoyed the cookie. "Glad you like it!" Taufan said, happy that she enjoyed the cookie he made. He put the plate of cookies down and put a cover over it.

Just then, a blue butterfly came flying in.

Taufan, who saw the butterfly, smiled and hold out his hand to it. The butterfly landed on his finger and he gently pulled his hand with the butterfly closer to him. The pigtailed girl beside them only looked at the scene. Looking closer at the butterfly, Ying could see that the patterns on it was different to that of Maripos' but nonetheless it is still beautiful.

"I got this from Planet Windara. It was a gift from Maripos when we went there again last time." He started. "Pretty, right?" He smiled turning to look at her.

"Yeah, it is" She mumbled, taking a closer look, awed by its beauty. The boy then put the butterfly on the right side of her head, close to her face, as if it was some accessory. He tuck in a strand hair while he's at it. "But.. you're still prettier." He said slowly, smiling softly making the girl's heart skips a beat. A short breath escaped her lips as she stared at him. Ying blushes after taking in what happened as she looked down, averting the boy's eyes.

Realising what he just did, Taufan became flustered but remained his cool as he coughed. "It probably escaped the garden, haha.." Taufan nervously laughed as he looked away. "You kept it in the garden?" Ying questioned after she composed herself. "Uhh.. yeah" He replied. "I didn't wanna bother Tok Aba by keeping them in the house. So, I decided to put them here." He continued, scratching his cheek.

"How come I've never seen it before?" Ying tilted her head, thinking. "Probably because I don't let them out as often since they're still new here." He answered, the girl only hums as a response. "I have to put him back." When he was about to take the butterfly again, which was still on her hair, Ying interrupted him, "Oh! Can I come with you then?" She asked, eyes sparkling. "Uhh.. sure." The boy reluctantly agreed.

"Woahh, there's so many" Ying said amazed, looking around at the blue butterflies flying around Duri's corner of the garden. The butterfly that was on her hair flew away reuniting with the others. Ying smiled seeing the butterflies flew around together. Just then, she noticed Pitch in the corner sleeping, she went over to him, putting her hand out to pat him, slowly so as not to wake the plant up, Pitch unconsciously leans in to the touch.

Ying then went over to Taufan, who was looking at the blue butterflies one by one. "What are you doing?" She asked, hands behind her back. The boy glanced at her before turning back to look at the butterflies. "Counting them." He replied. "I want to make sure everyone's here." He continued. "Hm~" Ying hums as she turned to look at the butterflies. "Well, are they all here?" She asked again. The boy nervously laughed as he answered her, "Haha.. I'm not sure since they're flying around and plus.. they all look the same" Taufan sheepishly smiled while Ying deadpanned at him.

"But I know a way" He said, extending his arm out. The blue butterflies, who were flying around, stop what they were doing and flock to him. Most of them landed on him in different areas, one on his hand that he extended, others on his shoulders and hair, while some of them flu around him. Ying couldn't take her eyes off of them, the scene before her made her speechless, especially since Taufan looked majestic with all the blue butterflies around him. The boy smile his usual cheerful smile bringing closer his hand with the butterfly on it, this only made Ying more awedstruck.

Taufan then began to slowly count the butterflies. After he finished, all the butterflies went back to doing their business. He turned his head to look at Ying. He was startled to see her face, who looked to be in wonder, cheeks flushed, small sparkles seemed to be surrounding her face. He averted his eyes, embarrassed by the stare.

Taufan glanced back and saw that she was still looking at him. The boy couldn't take enough of the situation as he's getting more uncomfortable, his face filled with red. He went to put his hand over her eyes. Confused, Ying questioned him, "What are you doing?" She put her hand over his hand trying to gently pry it off. "Uhh..." Not knowing what to do or say, Taufan kept closing her eyes. "Uhm.. You kept staring at me.. soo" He reasoned, slowly putting his hand down.

Ying's cheeks turned pink as she looked up at him. "It's because you looked so pretty just now.." She mumbled. "H-Huh?" Flustered by what she said, Taufan stuttered to say something. The two stared into each other's eyes. The blue butterflies flew in and surrounded the two blushing teens. For a moment it felt like it was just the two of them.

A rose popped up in-between them, surprising the two. 'Eh-?' They simultaneously thought. They blushed harder seeing the red rose in front of them. The two stare at each other again for a while before a sound interrupted them, they looked over to see Pitch behind them snickering. Their blue eyes traced his roots to where the rose was.

"Pitchy!" Ying pouted, going over to scold him, her face still red. "Haha.." Taufan laughed at the scene.
