Boboiboy glanced at the ticking clock, it shows 11:25 nighttime, it has been exactly 5 minutes since he last checked it, his eyebrows furrowed as he thought that the time has been passing slowly. He sighs as he focused his attention back to his work, he rested his face on his right hand. Yawning while reading the document on his left hand, he squints his eyes as the words on the paper began to swirl and mixed together. Boboiboy grumbles and planted his face into his arms, he decided to close his eyes for a bit, his thoughts are full of wanting to finish his work quickly and rest on his soft bed.

He turned his face to the left to take in more air. Tock, tock. The sound of papers hitting the table was heard, he opened his eyes to see Ying beside him arranging paper documents. He stared at her focus face, he watched her read the document intently as if she doesn't want to miss on any information and detail. A small smile crept up his lips, quietly enjoying looking at her doing her work.

His eyes then went down to her right hand, that was inches away from his face, a shiny silver ring lies on her ring finger. He went to grab her hand and linked it together. Still focusing on her work, Ying let him be, having already used to him bothering her whenever she's working. Boboiboy brought her hand closer to his lips, kissing the ring softly. Ying stared at him wide-eyed, surprised by the sudden 'kiss', the smile he gave her after did not help her red cheeks. She then closed her eyes, exhaling a short breath.

Bonk!

"Aduh!" Boboiboy grimaced at the sudden hit on his head by his wife. "Stop playing and finish your work." Ying scolded, going back to do her work, her red face has now gone back to her serious one. Boboiboy rubbed his head to ease the pain, he grumbled looking at the papers in front of him. Just then the door of the meeting room they were in slid open, the two looked towards the figure, they stood up and saluted when they realised who it was. "Settle down." The short green alien wearing sunglasses, also known as Commander Koko Ci, went into the room with a file on his hands. "There's new information regarding the powersphera Cloudbot," The two human adults perked up at the mention of said powersphera, they've been trying to locate Cloudbot for weeks now and so far all their leads have only led them to a dead end.

"It seems that they are residing in Planet Venia. More information is written in this file make sure to read it carefully." He finished, he handed them the file while looking around the room. "Where are the others?" Ying, who passed the file to Boboiboy after scanning it, look over to the commander, "They're all scattered in the station doing their own thing and trying to find more clues on the mission. Should I call them?" She questioned before the small commander could reply. "No need. Just make sure to relay the information to them." Commander Koko Ci instructed as he walked out of the room. "Yes, commander!" The two saluted.

"Haahhh~" Boboiboy sighed as he plops down on his seat, while Ying exhaled a relieved breath now that they got new info on Cloudbot. "Hmm.. Planet Venia.. a planet full of lush greenery and clean water.." Ying mumbled as she read the file, her focus was suddenly interrupted when there was a sound of a moved chair beside her. "Where are you going?" Ying asked the now standing Boboiboy, the questioning look on her face made it seem as if she's saying 'Are you trying to escape work?!', which made him slightly hurt. "I'm going to get a drink, do you want one?" He asked while also offering her a drink, Ying's face light up, Boboiboy assumed that means she wants one. "Are you gonna make it?" Boboiboy nodded at the question, Ying smiled at the response. "Then the usual please~" Boboiboy giggled seeing her cute face.

"Why don't you come with me? Take a rest for a bit." He suggested, he thought that it would be good to let the body have some sort of movement since they've been seating in a chair for hours. Ying gave him a pouted look, wanting to continue her work so that they could find Cloudbot faster but she knew that her husband is a stubborn person so she reluctantly agreed, though the smile on his face irritated her a bit since he knew that she can't say no.

"Huaaa~" Ying yawned as they walked in the hallway, it seems the tiredness from working all day has finally caught up to her. She suddenly jolted in surprise when she felt a warm feeling on her left hand, she looked down to see Boboiboy's hand clasping hers, she looked up at him to see him smiling. "Don't want you to fall down in the middle of the hallway now, don't we?" He said, his smile turned mischievous. Ying grumbled at his teasing, she turned to look in front, "Even if I did, you would catch me, wouldn't you?" She smirked at him. Boboiboy stared at her before giggling, "Yeah, of course". They walked beside each other holding hands all the way until they reached the cafeteria.

"Do you think that we could finally find Cloudbot in this 'Planet Venia'?" Boboiboy asked, stirring his almost finished drink. Ying looked at him for a second before biting down on a popia, they got hungry on the way so they decided to get a snack, "Who knows, I hope so." She replied tiredly, finishing her popia and taking another one off the plate. Boboiboy rested his head on his hand, staring at his wife, a soft smile appeared on his face. "You know... you're cute even when your cheeks stuffed with food." Taken aback by the sudden compliment, Ying's face became red, the popia she was holding fell from her hands. "Wha-" Before she could even reply, Boboiboy pinched her cheeks. Surprised and confused, Ying slapped his hand away feeling irritated, "Ishh! I'm trying to eat here!" She grumbled, her cheeks grew red with one side redder due to being pinched earlier. Boboiboy giggled at her cuteness, he was having fun teasing her.

Boboiboy continued watching her eat, Ying had offered the popia but he refused and told her she could finish it. "You should get plenty of rest after this, you've worked hard." He said after a few minutes of comfortable silence between the two. Ying looked up at him, a gentle gaze was etched on his face, she blushed (for the third time today) and quickly gulped down her food. "Of course I will. I deserve it." She said, taking a big gulp of her drink, finishing it. "BUT! You have to rest too!" She pointed her index finger at him, making him crossed eyed. "Because unlike someone, I know how to take care of myself." She said, crossing her arms. "O-Of course.." Boboiboy laughed nervously. Ying squints her eyes at him before standing up, "Welp, it's time to get back to work." She sighed. "Right.." Boboiboy mumbled.

Sorry for disappearing for a long time.

I didn't ran out of ideas, it's the opposite actually.. I just didn't have the motivation to do it mainly because I'm having a hard time trying to think of how their interaction would be, I'm confused what their dynamic really is.

I only wanted to do the 'kiss on the ring' part for this chap, the other parts are just spontaneous, so the plot's a mess.

& I don't know why but I wanted to use words like 'the boy' to describe Boboiboy other than his name or 'he/him' but since he's an adult here it would be 'the man' or something, & it's feels weird to describe him as that😅
