Damian's frustration simmered as he pondered over his conversation with Butler Jeeves. "Why should I have to get along with Emilie?" he muttered to himself, feeling the weight of expectation bearing down on him.

"Stupid father" he groaned as he returned to his room, "I can't believe she told her father" he continued to rant

Anya's heart raced as she stepped into the corridor where the exam results were posted. The air was thick with tension, and whispers floated around her like a nervous hum. She could feel the collective anticipation of her classmates, each one hoping for their own success or fearing disappointment.

Anya's heart skipped a beat as she heard the whispers around her. Pushing through the crowd, she reached the board and scanned the results. There it was, her name at the very top, a wave of relief washing over her. A smile crept onto her face as she realized her hard work had paid off.

"Congratulations, Anya!" someone said, and she turned to see smiles and nods of approval from her classmates.

Damian didn't even bat an eye expecting to have landed on the top as usual, Ewen rushed over to him.

"Damian.. you placed Fifth.." Ewen informed nervously

Damian's eyes widened in disbelief as Ewen delivered the news. He had always been accustomed to being at the top, and the realization that he had come second caught him off guard.

"Fifth?" Damian repeated, his voice tinged with surprise and a hint of disappointment.

Damian aggravated walked faster away from the commotion in the corridor

Anya walked by him as if but fate, "Desmond" she said seriously, a little concern she would rather hide creeping out

Anya's voice calling out his last name pulled Damian from his thoughts. He turned to face her, his expression a mix of frustration and uncertainty.

"What? What do you want" he responded curtly, his tone sharper than he intended.

She hesitated, her mind racing with conflicting emotions, but she bit her lip, suppressing any words that threatened to spill out. "you come to rub it in?" Damian's response was sharp, his tone tinged with frustration. As Ewen approached, confusion flickered across his face, unsure why Damian was engaging with Anya.

Her face contorted into an expression of anger and frustration. "Did you even try?" she spat out, her tone sharp and accusatory.

"Why do you even care?" he snapped, his scowl deepening as he spoke.

"H-hey, you two, calm down," Ewen interjected, his voice laced with concern as he tried to diffuse the tension between them. "It's just a score."

As Anya walked away, she couldn't help but throw one last barb. "Whatever, keep slacking off. I crushed you fair and square," she said with a mix of frustration and disappointment evident in her voice.

Damian clenched his jaw, muttering under his breath, "Bitch."
