Chapter - 17

Wei Wuxian was now in Huli mountain with Lan Wangji and Zhao Yi Ran. He was walking beside Lan Wangji who was followed by Zhao Yi Ran.

" It's so quiet here . Master Wei where are we going ? " Zhao Yi Ran asked.

" Somewhere" Wei Wuxian answered nonchalantly.

" You don't know " Zhao Yi Ran sighed.

" Aiya, if we don't move we won't get anywhere."

" But if we don't know where to go then how will we reach ." Zhao Yi Ran said.

" I'm frustrated now. You two please stop." Zhao Yi Ran said and sat on ground.

Wei Wuxian stopped and turned around to see Zhao Yi Ran sitting on ground with crossed legs.

" You must have been a bratty kid. Your parents must has punished you a lot." Wei Wuxian said.

" I never have parents." Zhao Yi Ran said carelessly.

" Sorry " Wei Wuxian said feeling guilty.

" Why are you sorry, Master Wei ? It's not a big deal." Zhao Yi Ran said and closed his eyes while sitting in Lotus position.

" What are you doing ? " Wei Wuxian asked.

" Try to find something useful " Zhao Yi Ran said.

Lan Wangji hold his hand and shook his head. Wei Wuxian gave him a confusing look but Lan Wangji didn't answer him. Wei Wuxian saw Zhao Yi Ran doing some hand signs which was weird and then he put his hand on ground.

He felt the the forest became lively as he heard many animal sound.

" Let's go " Zhao Yi Ran said and stood up.

" What did you do ? " Wei Wuxian asked.

" Gave a direction to your random search ."

" I can't wait. If you want then come." Zhao Yi Ran said.

" Should we follow him ? " Wei Wuxian whispered to Lan Wangji.

" Mn " lan Wangji said.

Wei Wuxian nodded and followed Zhao Yi Ran.

" He is so restless." Wei Wuxian said as he saw Zhao Yi Ran walking in fast pace. It seemed like he wanted to go more fast but was stopping because of them and was frustrated.

Soon they reached near a cave which was deep in forest. Zhao Yi Ran stopped in front like he was hesitating.

" Why you stop here ? " Wei Wuxian asked.

Zhao Yi Ran didn't answer. He was staring at the entrance of cave.

" Let's go " Wei Wuxian said and entered. Lan Wangji followed him and then Zhao Yi Ran.

There was so much dark that they couldn't see each other anymore.

Wei Wuxian used lightening talisman to illuminate the cave.

As they moved the cave was becoming more wider and at the end it was very spacious with a stone altar which was covered with a soft quilt. Like it was a place for some to rest. The walls were painted with red and white and decorated with flowers but now the flowers were all withered. No one could think that inside a cave there could be such a space.

" What is this ? " Wei Wuxian asked surprised.

" She is dead ." Zhao Yi Ran said.

" Who ? "

" Nine tailed " Zhao Yi Ran said and kneel on ground.

" You mean the mystical beast is dead and this used to be her home ? " Wei Wuxian asked.
