Chapter - 36

Lan Wangji walked towards his personal residence, jingshi. He had just passed the court yard to reach the door when he staggered. He hold the door to keep himself steady. He coughed blood while trying to keep himself steady on his legs.

" Lan er gongzi ! " Someone said.

Lan Wangji wiped his mouth and turned to see the person. He stood up straight while leaning on door.

" Lady Wen " Lan Wangji said. There was no trace of pain on his face.

" Are you ok, Hanguang Jun ? " Wen Qing asked worried. He could never imagine to see Hanguang Jun in such weak state.

" Mn, why you.."

Lady Wen saw Lan Wangji. She understood Lan Wangji won't talk with her unnecessarily.

" I wanna ask you were you the one who saved me from getting burned ? " Wen Qing said getting to the point.

Lan Wangji didn't spoke.

" I feel the same aura when you summoned your sword like I felt years ago around me." Wen Qing said.

" Lady Wen, please don't tell anyone." Lan Wangji said.

" Hanguang Jun, you..." Wen Qing tried to check Lan Wangji.

Lan Wangji dodged her touch. He stood straight.

" Lady Wen" Lan Wangji said sternly.

" Hanguang Jun, let me help you ." Wen Qing said .

" Lady Wen, I'll be grateful if you won't tell anyone about this. "

" Hanguang Jun, are you sure you can face them in such state ? " Wen Qing said boldly. She respects Lan Wangji but she also knew when to be polite and when to be firm .

" I've faced them my whole life." Lan Wangji said and went inside Jingshi.

Wen Qing was stunned by the words. But she knew she can't do anything. Lan Wangji wasn't Wei Wuxian whom she could scold or threatened.

She cleaned the blood from the floor and left. She wasn't an ungrateful person. She won't tell anyone till it won't harm his saviour.

Zhao Yi Ran was with Shizui near his room. Lan Jingyi and Jin Ling were also with them.

" Yi Ran , you know something ? " Lan Jingyi said.

Zhao Yi Ran didn't answer.

" Even if he knows , he'll again say that he can't tell." Jin ling said

Lan Jingyi glared at Jin Ling. Zhao Yi Ran didn't give him any attention.

Lan Jingyi dragged Jin Ling away from there.

" Yuan , will you see Hanguang Jun differently after this ? " Zhao Yi Ran said suddenly.

" Never " lan Shizui answered without taking another second.

" You are so confident." Zhao Yi Ran said smiling.

Lan Shizui didn't spoke. Zhao Yi Ran just smiled. He sat on the threshold and stare in horizon.

Wei Wuxian was standing near the cold pond. He was having lots of thoughts but nothing was making sense.

Is this the reason Lan Zhan wanted to go alone ? But where ? Why he hide something even from his own family too ? Why he didn't use it earlier ? And why no one knows ? Does he has some idea of whatever is happening ?

Wei Wuxian were entangling in his own questions when someone tapped his shoulder. Wei Wuxian turned around and saw Lan Shizui .

" A' Yuan..." Wei Wuxian said.
