Chapter - 48

Lan Wangji was unconscious lying inside a small room. They seemed to bring him the only nearby village. Wei Wuxian, Er Ming and Zhao Yi Ran was sitting outside the room, around a small round table in pure gloominess. Er Ming was in his small bird form sitting on the top of table.

No one was speaking. They didn't thought that something like that would happen.

Zhao Yi Ran seemed to understand the situation. He quitely went out , closing the door behind him.

" Why is Lan Zhan like this ? He isn't even accepting yours or mine qi. " Wei Wuxian asked. He seemed to be exhausted to the core.

" He must have done something to his body. He is scared . " Er Ming said in low voice.

" His qi is unstable too. " Wei Wuxian said.

Er Ming didn't spoke. He was debating whether to tell or not. Wei Wuxian didn't force him.

" He has lost his dragon form. " Er Ming answered, finally, after a long silence.

He knew that now he had to explain everything about Lan Wangji and he trust Wei Wuxian too as he understood that if Lan Wangji was not confident than he had not brought Wei Wuxian with him.

Flashback

A boy in white sitting with a red bird in a garden like place but behind them was a very small and dark shelter like structure which gave a feeling of gloominess and loneliness.

" You were so beautiful, you know that." A small red bird said.

" Really ? " The boy asked. His face had a small smile.

" Yes , yes " The bird shouted.

" So what I'm ? " The boy asked innocently.

" You are a dragon and that is very special."

" Special ? "

" Yes, Wang , very special. You have water element. When you grow up , you'll more powerful."

" I don't want power. I want to meet my brother." The boy said looking sad.

" When you'll be powerful. you will be able to break the barrier so just practice what we taught you . Didn't you see your blindfolded spell also broke."

" Yes. I'll practice. Then I'll show to my brother too." Lan Wangji said.

" You'll be twelve in one year . Do you know I selected a name for you ? "

" But I've a name, Er Ming."

" It's your birth name but mother selected a courtesy name for you. At the age of twelve elders give name to child." Er Ming said.

" Mn "

" Don't be sad . We are your family too. " Er Ming said.

" Mn "

" Do you wanna know the name ? "

Lan Wangji nodded his head.

" It's Wangji "

" Wangji ?" Lan Wangji asked confused.

" It means ' free from worldly affairs '."

" Like it ? " Er Ming asked excitedly.

" Mn "

" Me too. "

" Ok, Wang , I'm going now. I'll come tomorrow with others."Er Ming said.
