Chapter - 57

It's been two days but Lan Wangji and others didn't get any news about anything unusual. They were staying in a small town

" What's wrong ? " Wei Wuxian said.

Er Ming shook his head. He had no idea. As they were talking they suddenly felt a light blow of spiritual energy.

" Yi Ran , you...." Er Ming was surprised.

" Master , I forgot. I've to go." Zhao Yi Ran said. He was not looking good. He was painting slightly and clenching his fist.

" What happened ? Are you ok ? " Wei Wuxian asked , worried.

" Yes , master Wei . It's normal." Zhao Yi Ran said with a small smile but it was clear he was having a hard time. He was clenching his fist and his breath was a little ragged.

" Let's go ." Er Ming said and teleported them to the heart of the forest.

As soon as they reached , Zhao Yi Ran turned into dragon. Er Ming prepared a barrier around him.

" What's wrong with him ?" Wei Wuxian asked.

" It's normal for dragons. It always happens once in a while. Their qi started to circulate at a rapid pace. Its like a thorough checkup of the body. It's essential but a little painful.Some times body parts evolve too if cultivation increase." Er Ming explained.

" When will it end ?" Wei Wuxian asked.

" It depend of drgon. For Yi Ran, it's hardly a day but can't say anything." Er Ming said.

" You go back. Wang will get worried."

Wei Wuxian nodded and activated the teleportation talisman. They were near the town so it was easy. When he reached he went to other room whether Lan Wangji was back or not but to his dismay he was not there but he found a message for him.

Reading the note Wei Wuxian frowned. It was clearly saying that the Jade would come in next morning.

" Where is he ?" Wei Wuxian mumbled and went back to Er Ming.

" He isn't there. He left a message saying he will be back in morning." Wei Wuxian said.

Er Ming sighed.

" Where can he go ?" Er Ming whispered.

Wei Wuxian had no idea. He sat leaning on the trunk of tree. He was worried too but believed that jade would never lie.

Inside the barrier Zhao Yi Ran was lying in dragon form, sometimes turning and tossing. His groan could be heard.

On the other side Lan Wangji was lying in a cave with a shield on the entrance. He was wrapping his hands around himself, hugging tightly. His jaw was clenched tightly and his body was shivering.

He turned to the other side and the hands around him loosened and sweat beads formed on his forehead. His ragged breath was the only sound in the dark cave.

His body was emitting qi blows. In the next movement he started shivering again. His condition was same as Yi Ran but without a dragon form , it was more painful for him.

In the morning, the heavy and calm breath of a dragon could be heard. Er Ming and Wei Wuxian sighed in relief. After some time, Zhao Yi Ran woke up. He gave a smile to the two.

" It's really painful." Zhao Yi Ran said.

" You are feeling ok ?" Wei Wuxian asked.

Zhao Yi Ran nodded and they went back. And as Lan Wangji said he was there waiting for them as Wei Wuxian too left a message for him.
