~Brady's P.O.V~
I was so confused. Not that I really cared why, but it was really weird that Sophie was coming down to Ottawa during the season. She had told me before the season started that the only reason she'd ever miss a game or leave Chicago during the season, was because something big happened.
Timmy had asked me why I had told Sophie that I'd see her soon, as he didn't know what the call was about, so I had to explain to him and Josh that Sophie would be coming to Ottawa. I didn't exactly know how long it would be for, but I don't think the team really minded her hanging with them for a little while.
They had asked me if Sophie was going to be coming to any of our practices or games. I told them that I didn't know, but she most likely just wanted somewhere to go to get away from Chicago, so she probably wasn't going to come to anything. Unfortunately, Timmy being Sophie's second best friend wasn't going to have any of that.
"Too bad, Brady. Tell Lia vat che haz to come to our gamez and practizez, or elze I von't go eiver." Timmy announced.
"Same here," Josh added.
"I'll try, but if she really doesn't want to go, I'm not going to force her to." I told them.
"Hey, Ems? Can you make sure that Soph's room's ready for her?" I asked Emma. Yeah, Sophie came down to Ottawa so many times that Emma and I basically had a room in our house specifically for her.
"Yeah, sure thing." Emma replied before I gave her a quick kiss and exited the house, hopping into my car and making my way to the airport.
Thankfully I didn't have to wait too long in the airport as Sophie's flight landed a few minutes after I had arrived.
"Hey, Soph," I greeted, wrapping Sophie into a hug.
"Hey, Brady," Sophie replied softly. Okay, something was up. Usually Sophie's really happy and energetic, but this was weird.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
"I'll explain in the car." she told me.
I helped Sophie carry her bags and loaded them into the car, and let me tell you, that girl travels with way too much stuff. I swear, she had like four bags on her, one of them being her hockey stuff, and the other three, I don't even want to know. Although, I guess she'd been on the road for five days now, so I guess she needed to make sure she had enough clothes.
"So, tell me what's up." I said as we both hopped into the front and I started driving back to my house.

Sophie told me everything that has happened to her in the past week, and believe me when I say that I wanted to pound some of her teammates and her coach into the ground.
"How fucking dare he!" I blurted out, hitting my dashboard in anger.
"Brady, it's okay," Sophie sighed, placing a hand on my arm to calm me down.
"No, Soph, it's not! How dare they treat you like that!"
"Brady, it's okay." she persisted. "And besides, I won't be returning until Derek's fired, so you don't have to worry about me interacting with him any time soon."

"You want to come to our practice?" I asked Sophie as I was preparing to head out.
"I don't want to impede your practice." Sophie replied. "I know how much you guys are dedicated to your practices."
"Sophie, don't be obsurd. You and I both know that the entire team wants you there." I told her. "And besides, I'm sure D.J and Alfie will allow you to come."
