Saturday, November 18th, 2023. 8:30 AM.

We had an earlier game today, as it was the weekend, the game starting at 4:00 PM.

D.J allowed me to coach again for this game, so I rolled out of bed and got ready for the day. I met up with Timmy, and together, the three of us made our way down to the lobby to catch the bus to the rink.

"So, Lia? How waz your date vith Ridz yezterday?" Timmy asked me as we were on the elevator, a stupid grin on his face.

"Wipe that grin off your face, Timmy. You look ridiculous." I told him, rolling my eyes. "But it was nice."

"Branny told me vhat he zuggezted to Ridz for your date. Alzo, Jo told me about how you azked him to coffer for you, as Brady ztarted to interrogate the two ov you vhen you got back. How'd that go?"

"Timmy, I'm not kidding when I say this, but oh. my. God. Brady needs to calm the frick down about me dating people." I sighed. "Like, I understand the whole 'overprotective brother' thing he likes to do, but at this rate, I'm gonna frickin die along."

"Ah, don't be crazy, Lia. At zome point, vhen you do find that perzon you want to zpend the rezt of your life vith, Brady vill eventually come around. Iv not, just give me a call and I'll get the guyz to knock some zenze into him, yeah?" Timmy suggested smiling.

"I'll make sure to do that." I chuckled, rolling my eyes at him, playfully.

The elevator finally arrived at the main floor and the two of us exited the elevator and made our way to the front doors.

"Yo, Soph? You excited to coach today's game?" Jake asked me as soon as I had stepped onto the bus, slinging his arm around my shoulders, pulling me away from Timmy.

"Yeah, I mean, if it means that I get to boss you guys around more, then I'll take it." I smirked, making him roll his eyes at me and shove his eyes at me.

Honestly, the practice went well.

I brought to the attention of Alfie and D.J of a few weaknesses that I'd noticed during their game against Detroit, and together, Alfie and I worked the guys on those skills, making sure they were up to par for today's game.

D.J and Alfie had gotten me to work with Timmy, Jo, Josh, and Kells on their stick-handling. I knew that Timmy was already pretty skilled with his stick-handling, but the rest of the guys still needed a bit of work, so together, the two of us came up with a series of drills that would help them improve.

We set up a line of pucks, leaving about a puck-and-a-half gap in between each of them, a few cones on the ice, two long, rectangular foam blocks and a few targets on the on the net and explained to them what they had to do.

"Okay, so first, take a puck and you have to manuever the puck in between the line. Once you get to the end of the line, you have to move through the cones, but turn at each one. Then skate down to the net, do a toe-drag around the blocks and shoot the puck into the top corner. If you mess any part up, you have to restart the entire thing. You'll each go a few times before we start something else." I instructed. I also gave them a demonstration as to how it worked, doing it flawlessly if I might add, before they each went.

Kells and Josh messed up a few times, but overall, they all did pretty well.

"Nice job, guys," I told them, giving each of them a fist-bump.
