~Say you'll see me again~
~*~*~
It's official! Rids and I are officially dating!
We flew out of Sweden late yesterday, and were now back in Ottawa. We had practice early this morning, and Rids and I had announced to the team that we were officially dating. Brady seemed a little mad about it, but there wasn't anything he could do about it, not that I really cared.
Thankfully the rest of the team was happy for us, some of them had even placed bets to see exactly how long it would take for us to get together. I'm pretty sure that Jake, Sandy and Jo made around a hundred dollars in total from Chychy, Kells, Josh, Kubi, Drake and even G.
"Bro, Rids! Why couldn't you and Sophie have gotten together, like after we played the Islanders?" Kells complained, making the two of us chuckle. Clearly Kells lost his bet.
Honestly, I wasn't surprised that Jake won his bets. He was roommates with Rids, so obviously he had to have known that something was going on between the two of us. Sandy and Jo, I'm also not surprised about, as the two of them have known me for a long time now.
Timmy and Branny obviously couldn't make any bets as they kind of already knew that we were going out, but if they could, they probably would've made hundreds of dollars.
"Nah, man. We're really happy for the two of you." Jo smiled. "Don't listen to a thing that Chucky says. He just doesn't like seeing his little sister all grown up."

As I had assumed, D.J practically banned me from helping the team after we had come back from Sweden. So, instead I resorted to simply watching from the bench. As I watched the guys go over things like zone entrances and powerplay formations, I could tell that D.J wasn't pulling out the guys' true potential. He was holding them back a lot from fully discovering what they could do, as he had a certain way he wanted the team to play, which was heavily affecting their ranking in the standings.
After the practice, despite the guys feeling absolutely gassed, they persuaded me to join them to play a mini-game of hockey so it felt like I was included in something.
"You guys really don't have to do this if you're too tired." I told them as I rejoined the guys in the dressing room.
"Nonsense, Soph. D.J was an idiot to ban you from practice, so it's only fair that you at least get to play at least one game of hockey while you're down here." Rids reasoned.
"Fine," I sighed, grabbing my bag, unzipping it and I started to get my gear on.
Soon enough, the guys had decided on the teams after many minutes of arguing.
"But if Sophie's with Timmy, Josh, G and Drake, that's so unfair!" Jo argued.
"Then how do we balance out the teams?" Kells retorted. "No matter what team Sophie's on, they're obviously going to win! She's way too talented to have the best players on her team."
"Well, how 'bout we give Soph Timmy, Kells, Branny, Korpi, Zub, Drake, Sandy, Charky and Kubi." Josh suggested. "Then we can break up Rids and Sophie, Brady can also go against his sister, then we have me, Jo, Vladdy, G, Jake, Hammy, Chychy and Forsy."
"I'm cool with that." Brady agreed. "Soph, what do you think?"
"I'm down."
