Nova Starlit —

"Be here around 2," I spoke over the phone as I hung up.

Turning to Glam, watching them chuckle. "What's so funny?" I said, looking upset as they shrugged. "You've been tense as of lately." They said as I rolled my eyes. "Of course, I would be! Drew's life is possibly in jeopardy cause of Maddie's death and whoever killed Maddie might come for Drew! And knowing Wilbur, he might actually be his oblivious self and get the poor kid killed!" I said, a clear frantic tone rolling over my words as Glam approached and hugged me. "You'll grow wrinkles faster than aging at this rate–maybe let's just leave those two alone?" They suggested as I scoffed. "Like I'd leave Wilbur alone with Maddie's last remains!" I said as Glam released me, backing off a bit to lean against the wall. "The kid looks more like Wilbur at this rate that I assume there's no more Maddie to be even left as a sour memory. Either way–isn't it best if they both get used to each other? They'll be together for as long as Wilbur manages." Glam spoke, smirking near the end as I didn't even catch onto the suicide pun. But what Glam was saying was rather right. I had to leave Wilbur alone with Drew to at least watch the two–I can't try to contain a situation and fix something I had no right to fix. Maybe it's just the fear of me messing up again, making Drew develop a long-ridden guilt encoded into his DNA. I exhaled as I pushed back my hair. "You're right. Sorry...It's just old stuff that keeps biting me back in the ass." I said as Glam tilted their head, reapproaching me as I slightly pushed myself against the counter. Glam only stood in the middle as they smiled gently. "Is this about how your brother had...done that... and in the same year Wilbur's Dad...?" Glam asked, prying gently at the question as I nodded, biting my nail slightly. "Then I understand your fear. Maddie's death was completely unexpected and I'm with you. Though, pushing the guilt of the horrible event onto yourself isn't rather alright too." They suggested, grabbing my hand gently and prying my nail out of my mouth. Kissing the front of my hand as I smiled. "Plus–I don't want you to start developing a thumping foot when you get mad like some bunnies get." They said, winking as I blushed. Chuckling at the smart remark I kissed Glam on the lips.

"Thank you," I said as they nodded. Smiling as I then embraced their chest–wrapping my arms around them. It's been too long since we've been this–intimate. I guess I'm to blame for it again...I really must be a protective Aunt in Drew's eyes. A small chuckle left my internal thoughts making Glam raise an eyebrow before laughing also. "What's so funny? Do I hug weird?" They spoke out as I only nuzzled my face in deeper. "No–I just had a really funny thought," I said as I could feel their smirk grow. "Really then? Then the jester shall throne the Queen to her lovely highchair!--" They said, suddenly picking me up as I chuckled and laughed. "Glam!" I cried out as they used all of their strength to carry me to the couch.

Knocking at the door awoke me making me nudge slightly. Drew was watching the TV before the knocks woke him up. It was another gloomy day when the bright and warm sun went into hiding in the clouds. I tell myself it's because of my abdominal fear of Drew being in the same house as Wilbur and Maddie agrees. Responding to the weather almost. Glam grew out of their lounge chair, placed down the newspaper, and opened the door. "I hope I'm not bothering," Wilbur spoke as Glam chuckled. "No, not at all. He's just in the living room." Judgement Day was bestowed upon this house. I lifted myself up and I saw Drew staring at me. Almost like a deer in the headlights before yawning and spotting his Dad. Running instantly out screaming, "Daddy!" Wilbur–clearly taken off guard–picked up his son instantly. He didn't reek of anything. Shockingly sober. Wilbur smiled as he held his son comfortably. "What's up, kiddo?" He asked, catching his nose as Drew giggled. "He's growing that's what," I called out from the living room, approaching the main hallway as Glam turned to face me. They smiled as I grew myself to collapse into their embrace. Wilbur, looking rather hurt at the affection displayed by the both of us, returned to facing Drew as he gasped himself. "Oh shit–You're right! This kiddo is turning into a little guy!" He said, tapping Drew's small horns as Drew giggled. "Will my–my horn...grow as big as Daddy?" He asked, turning to Glam and me as Glam nodded. "If you finally eat your greens," Glam spoke as Drew stuck out his tongue, making a blah noise in response. I smiled as I reached my hands out to push back Drew's hair. "I'll go get his stuff, you know he packed his stuff?" I recalled to Wilbur as he responded with wide eyes and a shrug. "I guess he really is becoming a little guy!" He said as I chuckled, releasing my grasp around Glam and walking slowly down the hallway. Maddie...I know you're watching over us...but please–please try your hardest to keep Drew healthy and fine. With my soft mumbles of prayers, I reached Drew's room to only find myself feeling upset. I'll miss playing pretend with Drew, knowing that now he's going to be far from my grasp unless Wilbur decides to do what Maddie had done with him. But knowing him–he's definitely going to show off Drew and I'll hear a mouthful from Glam. I sighed softly grabbing Drew's small backpack and tiny carry-on luggage as I wheeled it out. Walking down the hallway, I could spot Drew down by Wilbur's legs. Waiting patiently as Glam was talking to Wilbur. It was about the Diner, what else could it be? "Well...I was thinking if we'd probably make Drew a worker at this rate if you're gonna bring him in." Glam asked Wilbur as he shrugged. "I don't think worker is the right word Glam, he'll just be in my office the majority of the time. Maybe he can give the Diner some artistic redesigns." He said, winking at the redesign part as Glam scoffed and rolled their eyes. I pulled the stuff out in front of the two as Wilbur smiled. "Thanks, Nova." He said, grabbing the luggage out of my hands as it was almost like I had just given away my nephew to a real monster. "No problem....if you need Drew to stay somewhere just drop him off with us. Okay? Since now you're the single parent in this situation. Okay? You hear me, Wilbur?" I spoke, growing more concerned as Wilbur nodded. "I understand. I completely understand the fear you have. If I have to—you'll get him for the time being." He said, looking down at Drew now. "Ready to go?" He spoke as Drew nodded, grabbing Wilbur's free hand as the two walked off.
