Wilbur Beloved –
The drive to the hospital was rather messy, placing a cloth over Glam's face and applying pressure over the gaping hole of a face. I could feel faint rattles of breaths escape them as I drove recklessly with one hand.
"I got you...please–hold on Glam..." I begged, swallowing hard and focusing slightly on the road in front of us.
It was Halloween, so speeding down the main road was rather easy. I hit a red light as my foot tapped on the gas waiting to go. Time is limited...I could just skip all the red lights...the police would understand. I groaned under my breath and decided to go for it–stepping on the gas again and speeding through the red light hoping for no car to randomly T-bone me. For my luck, it seemed like Hexune thought to play a little timed segment. Allowing nothing to intervene except Glam's dying breath.
"Stay with me Glam! Fuck sake don't go towards anything!" I begged my hands fumbling slightly to keep the cover on their face.
The slight indulgence of feeling nothing but a wasp of cool air felt insane to me. I still am taken aback that there was nothing. Nothing behind that sarcastic and shitfaced grin they'd display. I wondered if Nova learned about that too and didn't want to tell the rest for Glam's sake.
Tugging at the wheel to messily turn right was what made my heart drop. The breathing stopped as I flung the car to a stop by the brakes.
"No–NO NO NO!" I cried, turning instantly towards Glam as I grabbed the cloth. It was soaked completely, it wasn't even managing to properly stop it. What an idiot I am! Fuck–No no...I– I bit my lip, frustrated at my actions as I slammed the bloody cloth against Glam's body.
"FUCK." I shouted, turning away from the corpse of Glam and onto the wheel. Slamming my hands and punching the steering wheel.
"I can't do fucking shit! Stupid BASTARD." I hollowed out.
After my small fit, I breathed heavily as my knuckles ached. Everything in my hands ached as I couldn't even look to my right. I have to...despite not wanting to...I pulled the car out of the park and began driving off towards the road. Except for turning towards the hospital, I went left. The complete opposite way.
The streetlights turned on and highlighted the road in segments, leaving with each passing a slight overglance of Glam's body in the passenger seat next to me. I tried to ignore it, forcing my brain to imagine something else while the smell of rot began to start. There was no use for crying–it did exactly what it said it'd try. Leave me all alone and stuck with the consequences of my actions. Driving towards Maddie's trailer park with one hand, I grabbed a cigarette and lit it up instantly. Maybe I should burn Glam and possibly sizzle their ashes over Nova's grave. But what if I just bury them where I had done with Red–before they found him? Would it give him the same fate? No. I think if they got found I'd be done. I exhaled out the smoke, clogging the car slightly with the haze. What if I just keep smoking with the windows down, so I could at least die in a form that isn't cowardly? No. It still is. My eyes furrowed in discomfort as every time I had to turn right, I was forced to look past Glam. It was like a sore. A sore of what I had the time to save. Would Glam even want to die in a smoke-filled car? I flung the windows down, allowing the smoke to escape the containment of the car as it made it easier to drive (unironically). I rubbed my nose against my inner elbow, finally approaching and parked. I exited first, tossing the cigarette into the ground and kicking the spark out with my shoe. I walked over to the passenger side, grabbed Glam, and closed the door with my hips.
