Glam Undergroove –
It felt weird without worrying about going to the Diner today. Considering how it was taken over by the government. I saw Wilbur when he had to sign over the ownership while being screamed at by the public. He seemingly looked the same but it was painfully obvious he was a different man. Almost as if someone had killed the original Wilbur and now this new Wilbur took over. "Why did we allow this tranny to run a business! Probably spread his propaganda into the food!" A rally cried as I stood awkwardly next to Wilbur. "Hey, you okay man?" I whispered next to him, leaning myself down so nobody could hear me. "I'm fine." He spoke, dragging out some words as he continued smiling. "You look ready to snap–that's all," I mentioned. Wilbur turned to me quickly as he chuckled a bit. I flinched slightly back as I was rather on edge. Especially with how Nova claimed he was more impulsive with his actions. Like a ticking time bomb–especially with a gun in his inventory Nova cried at me. I only continued sipping my coffee while she was rambling and trying to make me view her bruises easier. "No! I'm fine. I just want to get this over with." He muttered, grabbing his hand and holding his wrist tightly. Once it was over, he entered his car and drove right off.
Back at my loving home, Nova giggled and ran right over to me. "Hey. Glam, guess what?" She said, holding her hands behind her back. I dropped the newspaper before me as I lifted my head slightly. "Hm? Oh–uh...I don't know. This is sudden." I spoke. Nova slipped a small envelope into my hand. "I went to the doctor's today 'cause I was feeling rather nauseated, and wondered if it was something I ate...but~" She hummed along watching my hands slide across the envelope. I opened it up and saw rather papers folded neatly. Curiosity peeking–I unruffled the papers and spotted a small photo. I looked at it and I widened my eyes. All the tests were negative except one–Pregnancy. I chuckled in disbelief as I glanced upward at Nova. Who was smiling from ear to loving ear. I stood up and laughed now. "Wow! Oh–Oh my god–wait–" I said, jumping around before remembering and quickly grabbing the paper. "I–It says you've already been 3 months pregnant! How–How have we not even realized?" I asked, Nova only replied with a shrug and a giggle. "Isn't this beautiful! We can finally start a family like we've dreamed of!" She said, which made me pause and stop. "W–What do you mean we?" I replied. Nova's happy attitude nearly wiped itself off the face of the earth. She frowned, tilting her head. "What–Glam we wanted to start a family right?" She asked as I felt myself now slightly grow conflicted. A new emotion I haven't felt in ages–Guilt. "I–I...I dunno we never talked about it but I just went along 'cause you were so desperate to continue your bloodline and–" I began as Nova's eyes began to flood. "Glam!--You didn't...if you didn't want to start a family you should've at least told me. I thought we were on the same boat!" She cried out in agony and distrust. I tried to approach her–to comfort my crying pregnant wife–but she pushed and shoved me away. "I–I should've assumed! I know how you were with Drew and now with this expecting baby...You're gonna become just like Wilbur!" She screeched as I felt my rage take over. I grabbed Nova's hand, raising it up to immobilize her, and grit my teeth. "Do NOT compare me to him! I am nowhere near as screwed as that man. And if you even dare to I will respectfully get my stuff and leave since you clearly can't understand your place in this relationship. Let alone your personal life!" I screamed. I felt my brain relax as I noticed Nova crying in my grip. My eyes shrunk as I released her. "N–Nova I didn't mean it–" I began, falling slowly to my knees to get face to face. She bit her lip and I could watch her bunny ears tremble. Her nose twitched slightly as she ran out of the house. "Nova! Nova, please! I didn't mean it like that!" I cried out, finding myself stumbling after her as she only booked it down the street. I sighed in exhaustion–gripping my nose bridge as I hissed. "Stupid fucking idiot Glam," I muttered to myself.
