*Piper's POV*
Piper's eyes fluttered open as she blinked the sleep out of them. She frowned and yawned as she glanced around.
They were still in the mansion, the sun was rising outside, its rays shining through the tall windows and bathing the room in a warm glow.
She heard a small snuffling sound and glanced down. Lottie was snuggled into her chest, curled up with most of her body lying in Piper's lap. She was holding onto Piper's shirt and Piper's arms were wrapped around her waist.
She blinked and felt her face heat up.
"I see someone's finally awake." Leo said behind her.
Piper glanced back at him; he was fiddling with the lock on Coach's cage. "Sorry for not waking you up, I forgot." She yawned.
Leo smirked. "Too busy I see." Piper's felt her cheeks flush. Leo let out a quiet laugh. "It's cute, always knew you had a thing for girls too."
Piper glanced around. "I- no, I mean... Lottie's just- How?"
Leo raised an eyebrow. "Remember that girl? Leila, I think her name was. She wasn't at the Wilderness school very long but while she was you were a nervous wreck. You turned into this stuttering tomato every time she spoke to you."
Piper looked down feeling her cheeks burn. "Was I really that obvious?" She muttered.
"Well, there was that and the constant zoning out while staring at her."
Piper sighed. "She was really nice to me."
Leo nodded. "She was really nice to everyone, even the people who didn't deserve it. Even Coach never told her off."
"Agggghhhhhhh!"
Piper flinched as Coach burst from his cage.
"Coach is awake." Leo stated as Jason launched himself off the couch, looking around wildly. Jason sighed and sat back down.
Coach was capering around, smacking things with his club and yelling "Die!" at the top of his lungs.
Piper felt Lottie move and looked down. The girl was staring at the satyr in confusion, she looked up at Piper and the tips of her ears turned pink. "Sorry." She mumbled, clambering off Piper.
Piper felt oddly cold once Lottie stepped away.
Coach turned around with a mad look in his eyes. He spotted Lottie and dropped his club, staggering away. "Wilson?" He said, his face going almost as pale as the aforementioned girl's. "They told me you died in the war!"
Coach picked up his club again and narrowed his eyes. "Die, creepy ghost child!" He screeched, charging at Lottie.
Lottie's eyes widened as she covered her face with her arms. Her body began flickering again and as Coach charged her, he ran straight through her.
Coach clearly wasn't expecting this outcome as he let out a high-pitched scream and flipped over a couch, falling into a heap on the floor.
He staggered to his feet, staring at Lottie. "What in the name of Pan's pipes is going on?" He breathed.
Lottie lowered her arms and glanced down at herself as her body continued to flicker in and out of focus.
Piper leapt to her feet and rushed to the girl's side. "Lottie." She said calmly. "I need you to focus on my voice, okay?" She tried to speak in a soothing tone. Lottie swallowed and looked up at Piper. Piper could see the fear in her pale blue eyes. "You're safe, Coach was just surprised to see you, no one's going to hurt you, understand?"
