Dido ...

His eyes lingered on me for an extended amount of time so much so that I became uncomfortable under his gaze. His piercing blue eyes held me captive until he looked away releasing me from his beautiful prison.

Yet again, his masculine hands raked through his thick dark hair, an action that I found so endearing as I yearned to do so myself from the very first moment I saw him.

I don't know why I was so affected by him. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that he was so incredibly handsome and he'd saved my life.

Are you serious right now? The guy just kidnapped you.

I didn't know anything much about him, but what I did know was that there was something about him I couldn't place.

His gaze settled on me again, this time roaming over my entire body until it paused at my legs. I felt butterflies flutter to life in my stomach as I tried my hardest to suppress a blush.

Oh-my-gosh, you're being such a girl right now!

Now was not the time to be affected by some rich boy with control issues. Woman-up Dido you can do it. All you need to do is cooperate until you can find a way out.

What kind of guy asks someone he's just met ... saved ... kidnapped ... to marry him anyway? His elevator clearly didn't go all the way up. Besides ... he looked like he could have his fair pick of women who would gladly accept his offer. Which begged the question, why settle for someone like me? Someone who's average looking with no ties to anything but ballet. Well ... he doesn't know that does he?

"Why me?" I asked and suddenly his piercing blue eyes looked up, pinning me in place.

"What?" He asked as though he were just returning from outer space.

"Why me? You look like you can have your fix of women ... why settle?" I asked wondering how I still found my voice while under his intense scrutiny.

"One - I don't exactly have a lot of time on my hands and two - I never settle." Alexis said searching my gaze as he leant forward placing his lower arms on his thighs.

Why did I feel like he was undressing me with his eyes? Pervert!!! A devilishly handsome Pervert. Ugh ... stop it!!!!!

"What makes you think that I'll accept your proposal?" I asked curious as to his thoughts.

"I think you'll agree to it because you like me." My blood boiled at his obviously conceited answer.

"Don't flatter yourself Rich boy. Money can't make someone like you." I countered.

"Ah but it can at least make one comfortable. Everyone wants comfort." His words brought me back to my predicament. My landlord - ex-landlord - probably put my stuff out. I need my stuff.

"Ah," He said in the most sickeningly sexy tone possible before chuckling a bit. "That's what you want isn't it? Comfort!"

When I didn't response, Alexis took it as confirmation. "So where does your boyfriend fit in this scenario?"

Ask a girl to marry you even if you don't know if she's single. Maybe I can use that to my advantage. Nope ... that won't work considering I have no support of any kind. Oh Daddy I wish you were here.

"You don't have a boyfriend, do you?" Alexis held a knowing glint in his eyes as he chuckled deeply. "Now I'm having a hard time believing that. A gorgeous girl like yourself surely has fellas lined up around the corner."

"How would you know?" Suddenly, he was down on his knees walking on them despite the fact that he wore a suit that looked like it cost a year's rent. Luckily for him, there was an antique looking rug beneath him. He positioned himself in front of me before inserting himself between my legs.

I gasped at his boldness trying to close my legs in an attempt to stop his advancement, only to have his hands settle on my thighs which was thankfully covering in my stockings. His hands progress mid-thighs before they found my hamstrings suddenly yanking me forward to him.

"W-what ... what are y-you doing?" I stuttered, absolutely stunned by his actions. No one had ever been so forward with me before.

His muscular hands circled my waist bolting me to his chiseled form. Even through the suit, I could feel the contours of his muscle press against me.

My heart hammered violently in my chest betraying me as my breath became shallow. He noticed as a boyish smile played on his face.

"If you'd like I can help you with your ballet," His whispered so close to my lips sending my heart into my throat.

"How... um... how - how do you know I dance ballet?" I asked, just as he gaze shifted to my lips.

"You have the most amazing legs I've seen on a ballerina." Alexis said before circling his hand around my neck, pulling me into a pulverizing kiss. Our lips broke contact before he switched hands and breached my lips again.

"Alexis," I said as our lips broke contact only for him to capture my lips again.

Honestly, I wanted to marry for love ... because I was in love with a man who was in love with me. A man who was also a friend and whose shared bond would be unbreakable. How could I when I was looked at as though I were a dark stain on a spotless brand new white shirt?

As weird as this may sound, Alexis was the first guy to show interest in me and he wasn't even remotely interested in me.

I knew ... who would be? After all I'm the poor black girl with not one shred of a social life. Not to mention, I always wore dull colors as opposed to the others girls on campus who wore bold bright colors.

I had no job, and now no home ... and my parents died. Did it make me a bad person not to want to pay rent anymore?

This was actually my first kiss. Yes ... my first kiss and I couldn't believe it was with a stranger. My first kiss was initiated by my captor ... how odd.

"Marry me-" Alexis broke contact again, heaving this time before his eyes stared into mines. "-and you can live here, with me, be my roommate minus the rent. I'll help you with ballet, just please help me."

What do I say? Alexis brings such a good bargain.

"I will on one condition." Alexis broke into a smile and I was thankful to be sitting at the moment or else my legs would turn to mush.

"Anything!" He answered.

"This," I said pointing between himself and me. "Can't happen again."

He removed his hands from around me while his face assumed an expression of indifference. He considered it a second.

"OK,"
