Nino and I arrive at a Cafe for a date she wanted to do today since I finally have some time to spare.
Since we couldn't exactly do something like this when everyone was at her apartment or at my house, we decided to go out to a Cafe I usually frequent alone to avoid encountering someone we know there.
We took our seats on the floor, our legs under one of the Kotatsus they had. While it was more expensive to use one, I deemed it necessary to create a suited atmosphere.
After placing our orders, Nino speaks up. "We haven't been spending much time together these past few days because of that show."
"I know and I apologize for that."
The producers said that the recordings were going to be only on weekends but they needed extra footage so they called us on some of the weekdays.
Fuutarou ended up being frustrated because it hindered both the tutoring sessions as well as his studies, but that doesn't compare to Nino who's been sulking about it these days.
She points her index finger at me and declares. "You have to compensate for it by going out with me more. Tomorrow again!"
"I would like to, but I have to go out with them after the recording tomorrow. We're all having Yakiniku as a celebration."
"But..."
Nobuyuki proposed to us all to go out for a Yakiniku on Saturday. I don't want to go but I have to keep an eye on Kengo so he doesn't try anything when I'm not around.
I added the rule of not trying something outside the show as a way of keeping him in check.
He appeared reluctant but agreed. He knows he's being observed by government officials so he had no other choice.
Unfortunately, they can't take direct action because he secured his position by being part of the showbusiness industry and having a band.
Him being taken out abruptly will cause many questions from the media and Kiyotaka won't take that risk unless necessary.
I grab my glass and ask. "Hasn't Ichika told you?"
"I haven't seen her today yet. I don't mind you going with your friends but that girl Yuki-san was clingy with you at the beginning, right? I'm not worried about the others."
"She said she's aiming for Nobuyuki so you don't have to worry. We'll just hang out as a celebration for completing the first week on the show. Besides, Fuutarou and Ichika will be there too, remember?" "
"I know. You don't need to remind me. Hmph."
