Have you ever wondered what it's like to be left out? To stand on the sidelines, yearning for attention and guidance that seems just out of reach? That's been my reality these past years, colored by a mix of longing and confusion.
Growing up, I knew my father, Kiyotaka, as a figure of authority and guidance. Many people don't know this but, he secretly works as both the right hand and private security of the prime minister. He could've chosen to take the highest role in Japan...However he said that something like that would endanger our lives, so he chose the latter.
Hoshino Aqua. He had been a constant presence in my life. We played, studied, and faced the challenges of growing up together. He taught me a lot of things including what made me love playing the violin.
I looked up to him.
Despite having a gloomy aura most of the time, I thought he was just like my father...I always noticed how he went with Father to a secret place in our house sometimes after we finished or before Mother and Chise woke up. I was too young to bother about it so I didn't take mind of it.
One day when I was already 10 years old, I went happily to show my grades to Father.

"You did well, Ren." He said patting my head.
"Thanks Father." I smiled at him. "Would you like to hear the new composition I made for my violin recital?"
"I would love to, but Aqua's coming in a few minutes and I'm going to tutor him."
"I understand. But...When are you going to tutor me too? I want to study together with you and Aqua."
"You don't need my guidance, Ren. You already have the top grades in your school. You can't instead tutor Chise. She would love to have you teaching her."
"She's still four. Mother can do it just fine."
"That's true, but that would be a way to make a stronger bond with her. She seems to like to play more with him and Ruby lately. Why don't you give it a try?"
"O...Ok. If you say so Father, but... what about physical training?"
"Do you want to do weight training?"
"I think I do. I noticed how Aqua has been getting bulkier these past years just like you! You're also training with him, right?" I said excitedly.
"I am. However, I can't train you the same way I train him."
"Why?"
"My time's limited right now and I can only help one of you at a time."
"But then you can teach me too on another day and..."
