Preliminary

"Hi."

Carina opens the door and sees a blonde woman, holding a bag of take out and a bunch of flower, smiles awkwardly at her.

Why she looks so awkward?

Carina raises an brow and greets to Maya, "Hello?"

"This is for you." Maya quickly hands her the flower.

Carina takes the flower and looks at the blonde firefighter with confused, "Why did you bring me flower?"

Shit. She doesn't like it.

Maya puts down the bag and busy at plating their take out to hide her nervousness, "Andy asked if I want to grab some taco. I said that I'm having dinner with you. She asked about us and said So it's a date with your wife. I thought it's just a dinner at first, but Andy's words got into my head. So...hence the flower."

Maya explains awkwardly and asks, "You don't like it? It's not your favorite cause it's out of season now, and I thought rose is too much...for now."

Carina glances at Maya head to the toe, noticing her wearing is not that casual for staying at home.

However, Carina herself just put on Maya's hoodie and a pair of sweatpants, totally domestic.

That's why she looked a bit disappoint and awkward as hell.

"It's just a dinner." Carina confirms. "Thank you for the flower though. It's beautiful."

Date my ass. Thank god I didn't go too far on my clothes and flower. Thank god she didn't reject me right away. I'm totally embarrassed myself.

Maya blushed a little and keeps setting up table for them while Carina walk past her to place flower in a vase.

And wearing perfume. She really thought that this is a dinner date.

She is cute with blushed face.

Carina lets out a small smile, thinking to herself.

Carina turns around and sees Maya awkwardly standing behind a chair, waiting for her. 

That woman pulled out a chair for me. Not bad.

"Thank you." Carina takes the sit.

Maya quickly sits down with a small smile.

"Has Gabriella arrived at the airport yet?" Maya asks and starts having dinner.

Carina nods, "She just texted me that she's boarding."

"How's your day?" Maya asks.

Carina shrugs before having her meal, "Went to grocery store and some chores after dropping Gabriella at the airport. Boring and normal. How's yours?"
