"Hi, Maya. You're looking for Carina?"

Jo walks to the counter and gives the tablet back to the staff.

"Kind of. I'm wondering if she's here and take a glance of her and my baby girl." Maya puts on a shy smile, "She's upstairs?"

"Yes, she's having a surgery. That's why I'm consulting in the ER. It's a tough case and going to take at least 2 more hours." Jo says with a sigh. "She's so amazing. I was so excited to see her performing this surgery, but ER paged."

"2 more hours?" Maya checks the time and frowns, "How long's she been in surgery?"

"2 hours ago?" Jo tilts her head, thinking.

"She's definitely not having lunch before surgery." Maya breathes out and frowns. "My shift is not over until 7."

"Don't look at me. I can't help with you, either. I need to go back to the OR after the test result out." Jo raises her hands up in surrender.

"Bishop, let's go." Jack says and walks to the duo. "Hey, Jo. See ya." Maya nods at him in understanding.

"Bye, guys." Jo says an waves at them. "See you tomorrow, Maya."

"Yeah, see you tomorrow." Maya smiles at her before leaving.

"Thank you for the maritozzo, cannoli, smoothie and flower. You don't have to do this."

Maya takes out her phone and immediately grins at Carina's text.

"Too late. I already did." Maya texts back.

"Do you want to have dinner later at the new house? I'm off shift at 6."

"Of course. Do you want me to bring anything? More dessert maybe?"

"No, I had plenty just now. I'll order some take-out for us."

"Someone is having a DATE!" Andy exclaims behind Maya's shoulder.

"Andy!" Maya is startled by her best friend's voice and rolls her eyes, "You scared me!"

"Who's having a date?" Travis and Vic pass by and join the duo.

"Carina just asked her to have dinner with her at their new house." Andy wiggles her brows at the gossip duo.

"Get some, girl!" Travis gives Maya a naughty smile and fanning himself with his hand. "Oooh, getting hot it here."

"Snooping on a subordinate's phone like this is very unethical." Maya turns to glare at Andy and asks, "And how come you walk without making any noise?"

"I did, but you were totally immersed in texting with your wife." Andy smiles cheekily.

"So what are you wearing tonight?" Vic asks in excitement.

"This is not a date, just a dinner, guys. Calm down." Maya rolls her eyes at Vic and says in helpless tone. Her team is too supportive sometimes.

"Hi." Maya puts on a big smile when Carina opens the door.

"Hey, come in." Carina says and leads her to the living room. "I'm too tired to set a table. I haven't gone to buy plates and cutlery yet. So I ordered pizza. Hope you don't mind." she says and sits down on the couch.
