Chapter 69
Lisa
The bill handed to me impacts my mood but in a good way. I had to put all the groceries in the basket under the stroller and when I asked Jennie if she could help me out a little bit, she responded that the bags are too heavy for her to lift. After I told her I'm a feminist, she nearly threw one at me. Like all the tiny fights that we have and which usually end in deadly looks and threats, this one too is quickly put behind us.Now, that I've hung out with Jennie more, I'm starting to see life with her is never a boring one. She'll always find something to disagree with me but she won't take it too far. Jennie is a bit dramatic but she is far from deserving the title and the rank of Irene. We pick one of the nearby parks to walk around, this time without having a discussion, and if I wasn't aware this is Seoul, I could've sworn this place is the same as...well, where my first time happened. Jennie is pushing the stroller when she glances up at me "Why are you smirking?" I don't know anything about me smirking but at the recollection of that memory it's not anything strange if I do. "Hmm? Oh, nothing. I just remembered something."
"And what would that be?" I chuckle a little and put both my hands in my pockets "I don't think you'll want to hear it." That kind of response either fazes some or discourages others but mostly we all know what happens and Jennie is no different "I doubt you can shock me. I know it's about sex. It's the only thing you think about so tell me what is it."
"What?!" I exclaim, "Sex is not the only thing I think about."
"It's not? Then you're probably thinking about why isn't sex on your mind." I point a finger at her "That's more accurate." Jennie erupts in a crowd of giggles and when she reaches her peak where she snorts slightly, Leo joins her. He starts rocking the stroller with his jumping and clapping. Even when Jennie has stopped laughing, he keeps going on so we leave him and his good mood just the way they are. She wipes the area under her eyes and sighs "You were saying?"
"I don't think I was saying anything."I look at her, smiling at the memory of her accidental snort. Playfully, she slaps my shoulder "Then start." Harder, baby. "Your theory wasn't far off. This place just reminds me of the first time I had sex." I shrug, still smiling slightly.I'm curious, will she give me one of her looks? Instead of being shot by her glare, I am introduced to an element of surprise that is smacked on her face. "What?" She clears her throat "You lost your virginity in a park."
"Yeah, on a bench. Why are you so surprised by that?" The last time I heard, plenty of people, especially teenagers, do it there and I was no exception. Jennie looks a little bit pissed at me and I've no idea what did I do this time "And you didn't think to take a girl to a comfy bed? I bet she appreciated the hard bench."
"She appreciated the other hard thing, hee hee." I grin and Jennie breaks her stern expression all for the sake of a big smile. "It was she who chose the park, though. She was already experienced when we did it."
"And how did she like Lisa the Virgin?" She asks and points at the empty bench by the playground and a small fountain "We could sit down there." I nod and we head towards the bench "To be honest, it didn't really last long but I had a hell of a time." She sits down and blocks the stroller from moving. I can see her cringing. "I bet you did. How did she take it?" Eheh... yeah, well... "It was awkward. She thought I was older and when I finished too soon for her liking, she was disappointed and yelled that dudes don't know how to properly have sex anymore. Then I told her I was not seventeen and she freaked out a little. But things turned in my favour and we had another round."
"Uh-huh, and how old were you actually? How old was she?" She asks as she browses through the shopping bag to come across the pear puree for Leo. I scratch the back of my neck. I don't think anyone knows when I lost my virginity, not even Irene. "She was seventeen, I was thirteen." Jennie's eyes jump up at me and she nearly drops Leo's lunch "You're kidding? How could she think you were seventeen?" I shrug and now that she's addressed the issue,I find it strange as well. "I have no idea. At the age of twelve I grew for like half of mile, it was insane. Maybe that was what threw her off?" She hums in agreement "It could be. Well, as long as you two liked it."
