Fauna pov: "Let's have a toast!!" Mumei yelled as she grabbed Shiki, and the two of them began a kick line. We glared at them and sighed.
"Weren't you two just fighting?" Kronii asks
"Yeah, but now we need a toast!" Mumei said with a laugh as she began to spin Shiki around.
"Mumei..." I lowly growled.
"Fauna, are you jealous?" Mumei asks
"I—Yes!" I reply
"Come here, Fauna!" Mumei motioned. I stepped over there only for her to kiss me. "Now let's have a toast!" She shouts
We went back inside and got sake toasting, and then we began to drink. Mumei seemed oddly happy.
"Who are you to Mumei?" Kronii asks
"A friend..." Shiki replied
"Just a friend?" Kronii questioned
"Yeah!" Shiki said
Mumei stood there and sighed as she looked at Shiki and tilted her head to the side.
"Why are you actually here?" She asks
"Mumei, you need to go back to ■■■■■■." Shiki said we couldn't hear what she said partially, though.
Mumei glared at her angrily and growled, "I'm never going back." She spat
"Go back where?" I ask
"Fauna, it doesn't matter..." She told me
"Are you sure?" I ask.
"Like I said, it doesn't matter," she growls.
Shiki walked over to Mumei, grabbing her by her shirt. "How long are you going to run!?" She screamed as she shook the girl angrily.
"Let go," Mumei hissed.
"Answer me! Will you keep running!?" Shiki shouts
"I said let go," Mumei snarled.
"Mumei, calm down..." Azu-papa said
"I said let go!!!" Mumei screamed
She grabbed the girl's neck and began to choke her out. I noticed she seemed to be in a daze.
"Mumei?" Kronii questioned
The girl continued to choke out the woman standing there. "Stop it!" I yelled at her.
"I—huh?" Mumei snapped back into reality, dropping the woman, and she gasped for air. "Fauna, I need to admit something..." She told me
"What is it?" I ask.
"Follow me," Mumei said.
I stood up and followed Mumei outside. "What do you want to tell me and not Kronii?" I questioned
"If I were to turn on all of civilization, would you join me and betray nature? I need to know." Mumei softly said
"If you were...are you planning on it?" I ask
"It is just hypothetical fauna. Don't take it too seriously, please. Fauna I just want to know that as my wife, you'll be there for me, Kronii, as well, but remember, you were the first person in council I met; you are the one I'm most interlinked with, so I need your input."
"Mume, no matter what, I will follow you!" I told her with zero hesitation. She stared at me, thrown off by my immediate response, but she smiled.
"I really love you!" She told me
"I love you too!" I replied. Mumei laughed, but then she looked sad. "Mumei, tell me what you need." I said
"I just want the world to be perfect." She said, "Nothing wrong, no conflict." She adds
"You want a perfect world?" Shiki questioned us as she approached, questioning what she really wanted now.
"Shiki, I'm sorry, I lost it a little bit."
Shiki nodded to what Mumei had said: "Mumei, you didn't answer me." She sighed
"The perfect world I want has already failed, but I'm sure if I try to pull it off once again, I can get it right. The world I want will be on the horizon; it will be a new dawn!" She yelled
"That is a God complex!" Shiki said
"No, it is a vision," Mumei claimed.
"It's a God complex!" Shiki responded
"I'm a god," Mumei replied.
"True..." Shiki mumbled
"Shiki, how about we make a deal?" Mumei offered the inugami. She looked at her, surprised.
"Sure," she said.
"You help me with what I want." Mumei said to the inugami, who stared at her and nodded.
"Go back to ■■■■■■ first, though!" Shiki said
Mumei growled at her but nodded after, "Shiki, fine, I'll go." She said
"You are the guardian of civilization; you have more energy than that; you are the one that has to look over the world; after all, you are afraid to look at some ruins!?" Shiki sighed
"Shiki shups up for a second." Mumei said
"Mumei, come back inside!!!" Kronii called
Mumei nodded, and then she turned to Shiki. "We're heading there anyway."
"So why be so difficult about it?" She asks
"I want to be..." Mumei claimed.
"Are we going now?" Kronii asked
"Yeah, we don't need to bring Sanana, Irys, or Bae; the three of us will suffice." Mumei claimed
"I'll call them..." I told her.
"Fine..." Mumei muttered
"Uhh, we should get Zeta too!" Kronii said
"Zeta!!!" Mumei shouted
"Why are you calling her? She isn't here!" Kronii shouted, but within a second, Zeta landed next to Mumei.
"You called Senpai?" Zeta questioned
"Of course you are with us," Mumei said.
I noticed her tone with Zeta was more calm and less demanding than it was when she wasn't addressing her; actually, when she talked to Kronii, she was in a softer register than she was when talking to Shiki.
"We all need to understand we are there to capture those guys, not kill them. Remember, if Axel goes to Zeta as well, we will obliterate them off the map—I mean, capture them." She said
"Mumei, are you sure you are alright? You can rest if you need to. Please don't stress yourself out. I want to make sure you are at 100% after all!" I told her.
"Fauna I'm fine. Thank you for being concerned, though you are a really kind wife." Mumei said
"Mumei-senpai, we should be going!" Zeta told her, and the owl just nodded in response.
"Let's go everyone, and remember, we have to get stuff done. No wasting time. Council will not waste time anymore. We will work!" Mumei declared
I could tell she was serious about this.
