I  walked behind my mom into her meeting.  She's been doing really well and I'm so proud of her.

Vivian - Ronnie this is my counselor Semaj. Maj this is my daughter Veronica

He smiled at me.  Lord that man is so fine.

Veronica - hey

Veronica - I'm good.

My mom walked off.

Veronica - how old are you , you look a little young to be a counselor here.

Semaj - I'm 24. How old are you?

Veronica - 19. What made you wanna work here?

Semaj - My mother died of an overdose

I sat in the car as my mom stared at me.

I sat on Veronica's bed , looking at her.

Veronica - Lorenzo what do you want?

Lorenzo - I can't come see my woman.

Veronica - who? Melany?

Lorenzo - stop playing with me . I don't want her , I want you.

Lorenzo - you my woman. No I'm not.

Veronica - I have a name for baby girl.

Lorenzo - alright.

Veronica - Loren.

Lorenzo - like my name. Baby let's name her Sidney, maybe Loren can be her middle name.

Veronica - Sidney Loren Chandler.

Lorenzo - why she get yo last name

Veronica - we aren't married.

Lorenzo - Bambi c'mon

He smacked his teeth.

Veronica-  I don't know why you're mad, we aren't married ,-

Lorenzo - but we're gonna get married. We just separated right now. Why would my child not have my last name when you gon have it.

She smiled.

I pulled her to me, grabbing her waist , I kissed her belly, feeling the baby kick.

Lorenzo - see Sid wants her daddy's last name.

I kissed Bambi , pulling her into my lap.

Veronica - You better stop

Lorenzo - or what?

She smiled.

Veronica - just stop it

Lorenzo - Sex helps with contractions

Veronica - no.

I got up , placing a kiss on her forehead. Let me go see Junior before Melany changes her mind and is a bitch.

Veronica - kiss Junior for me.

Lorenzo- you can come see him

Veronica - I'm not invited over Melany's apartment. That hoe hates me.

Melany needs to get over it. I love Veronica and she ain't going nowhere.
