I walked out on the balcony seeing Lorenzo smoking. I grabbed his blunt.

Veronica - you know , we do have kids around.

Lorenzo - but we're on vacation, I want to relax a little bit.

Veronica - poor baby.  We still have 4 kids that need attention and care.

Lorenzo - can I ask you something?

Veronica - yeah?

Lorenzo - if we didn't end up together , how do you think your life would've gone.

Veronica - I'd probably be miserable and married to David. You'd probably be a big hoe because all you did was fuck all the time

Lorenzo- yo husband a hoe?

Veronica - a reformed hoe

Lorenzo - I don't think I would've knew I had a son if it wasn't for you. Sid and the twins wouldn't be here

I sat on his lap.

Lorenzo - I think you saved me.

Veronica - I didn't-

Lorenzo - yes you did. I was self destructing and pushing people away and you never left me.

Veronica - Renzo at that point, you took my virginity , of course I couldn't leave you alone.

Lorenzo - V I'm serious. You didn't leave or give up on us when I was pushing you away. You gave me this beautiful family , which I still think I don't deserve. I don't deserve you or these kids. Sometimes I look at you and wonder how I got so lucky.

Veronica - you introduced yourself in front of Apartment 4B, that's how.

Lorenzo - I love you

I smiled.

Lorenzo - I mean it. I know I tell you all the time, and all my life I thought I knew what love was but I didn't know the definition until I met you .

I kissed him.

Leo - eww that's nasty

Lorenzo - no it's not boy

Leo pointed at me and acted like he was gonna throw up.

Lorenzo - he get that dramatic shit from you.

Veronica - I'm not dramatic

Lorenzo - girl yes you are. You acted like you were going to die just last week , when I went out and bought you the wrong food.

Veronica - you should know what I like. You married me.

Lorenzo- Leo where are your sisters and brother

Leo - playing  video games

Lorenzo- we brought y'all to Thailand with us and ya'll playing video games

Leo - you smoking. You can do that at home too.

Veronica- he has a point

Veronica laughed.

Leo walked out.

Leonidas and Sy'Rai are now talking and it's hard to get them to shut up now. I'm just so glad they're talking because I was so scared when it came down to Leo.

Veronica - are we having sex tonight?

Lorenzo - you want to have sex?

Veronica - yeah. Why is that so hard to believe?

Lorenzo - we haven't had sex in months .

Veronica - we're on vacation.

Lorenzo - oh I wasn't saying no. Just surprised

Veronica - Later on tonight after the kids fall asleep

Lorenzo - Leo wake your brother and sisters up and see if they want candy.

Veronica - do not give them melatonin Renzo

Lorenzo - why not?

Veronica- because I said so. Can you follow directions?

Lorenzo - Yes ma'am

She kissed me and got up. I smacked her ass.

Lorenzo -  what?

Veronica  rolled her eyes.

I went into Leo's room and saw him sitting on his bed watching TV. I smiled.

Leo - mommy.

Veronica- yes sweetheart.

Leo - how come Sid and Junior can hear but me and Rai can't.

Veronica - I can't hear so that's why.

Leo - and daddy can

Veronica - yes.

Leo -   Mommy why did you keep me?

Veronica - where is all this coming from?

Leo - I heard you and daddy talking one night and that I have a different daddy.

Veronica -  you do.

Leo - but you had me and Rai at the same time

Veronica -  I did.

I never thought I'd have to tell him about Semaj or his birth.

Veronica - your actual dad is something very messed up to me and I found out I was pregnant with you and your sister.  A couple days before  me and daddy had some fun and he got me pregnant with Rai. 

Leo - am I going to be like him?

Veronica - no. You have a good daddy. Lorenzo loves you

Leo - - he shouldn't because I'm not his.

Veronica - you are his.  You are his son.

Leo - mommy you don't have to make me feel better.

Veronica - Leonidas you are loved. Me and daddy both love you. It doesn't matter what happened or how we got you, it matters that you are a good kid and we were lucky to have you come into our lives.

Leo hugged me.

Lorenzo - Leo you want candy.

I turned around and saw Lorenzo standing in the doorway with melatonin gummies.

Veronica-  Renzo no.

Lorenzo - Junior, Sidney, and Sy'Rai already had one.

Leo took the gummy from Renzo and laid down.

Lorenzo picked me up.

Lorenzo - good night son

Veronica- stop giving them that.

Lorenzo - okay , I'll stop if you stop making me wait until it's dark out to have sex.

Veronica - fine. I only make you wait until then because it seems more appropriate.  The kids are asleep-

Lorenzo -   They're asleep now

Veronica - because you gave them melatonin.

Lorenzo  grabbed my hand and put it on his crotch.

Lorenzo - that's why I did that. 

Veronica - use your hand

Lorenzo - I have you.

Veronica- bye

Lorenzo kissed me.

Lorenzo - 3 months of pent up sexual frustration is about to be put on you. Hope you don't run from me
