Fulgur threw his mace around as he beat the training dummy, he growled with frustration as the sweat on his forehead grew, and he put his mace down with a huff.
"Need something to cool off with?" a subtle and quiet voice asked, Fulgur looked at the approaching other, and Glacies gave him a knowing look.
"You must take a break, my friend," the ice knight commended, and Fulgur sighed.
"Where are the others, patrol starts soon," the lightning knight dismissed, and Glacies frowned.
"Ignis is getting an early start, he's most likely already in the forest by now, he told me something happened, he needed to go clear his head, and Venenum is having breakfast."
Fulgur nodded his acknowledgment.
"Ignis is beginning to pull away," Fulgur said after a moment.
"So are you," it was a strong statement, and it made Fulgur sick knowing how well Glacies could read people around him without even speaking to them.
"One of these days, Ignis will get himself hurt out there if he keeps up this routine of going out on his own," Fulgur dismissed the previous subject again, and Glacies nodded in agreement.
"Let's go retrieve Venenum and then go to the forest to meet with Ignis," the ice knight suggested, Fulgur didn't respond, he simply walked past the other to do as suggested.
-
Ignis breathed a sigh of contentment as he sat on the forest floor, he missed those days out there, with the others, sure they argued sometimes, but looking back, Ignis remembered the good times, and even chuckled at the thought of the petty arguments.
When Ignis heard the familiar voice of his friend, the poison knight himself, Ignis stood up, looking longingly into the deep of the wood.
"Ignis! What's up!" Venenum laughed as he came into view, and Ignis always answered the same.
"The sky."
Glacies and Fulgur came into view, both having a quiet conversation.
Ignis looked at the forest again, ignoring the remarks and jokes of the poison knight.
Glacies abandoned Fulgur, the red knight most likely dismissing his conversation topics as usual, and put a hand on Ignis' shoulder.
"Are you alright, my friend?" the knight asked, and Ignis shrugged him off, looking toward him.
"I am fine," he was glad this helmet hid the frown, though knowing Glacies, he already depicted what was wrong.
"I understand," was all the ice knight said.
Fulgur gave him a steely look, Ignis ignored the glare, turning fully toward the group.
Venenum ignored the obvious tension as he wrapped an arm around Ignis' shoulders, Ignis let the arm settle there, not finding it worth it to pull away.
"Any activity to note?" Fulgur asked, and Ignis shook his head.
"Ugh! It's been so long since we've had anything fun to do!" Venenum complained, and Fulgur didn't remove his gaze from Ignis.
"Perhaps it's better that way," Ignis mumbled under his breath.
Fulgur's glare grew, and Ignis pulled away from the arm, "I'll search up north."
Glacies sighed, "I say someone checks that Barbarian base for any activity."
Fulgur huffed, "Glacies, you go check it out, Venenum, go ask around the villages if they've seen any sort of suspicious activity."
