Before Glacies and Ignis woke
Fulgur shook his head at Venenum.
"How would the Necromancer even be alive, we chopped off his head," Venenum asked as he paced around the room.
Fulgur was sitting down, watching him, thinking.
"He can bring anything back from the dead, anything less powerful than him, anyway," Fulgur pointed out and Venenum groaned.
"If he somehow managed to bring himself back, why would he act now, everyone's missing, we're the only knights left so there's no getting help from Iris or Cervus" (the pink knight and the blacksmith) Venenum stated with a huff of frustration.
"We only have one choice, we need to take the fight to them," Fulgur stated, and Venenum shook his head.
"What? With Ignis and Glacies injured like this? No!" Venenum snapped, and Fulgur stood up, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"They'll be okay, Venenum, everything's going to be okay, we just need to think carefully about this," Fulgur said, and Venenum groaned, putting his head in his hands.
"This isn't just about the Necromancer, is it?"
Venenum shook his head, "Why can't I be useful for once?"
Fulgur held the other against him, "Venenum, you are the one who can do more than just fight, you heal, you help brighten the mood after a rough battle, and you are the most useful of us because you do so much for us," Fulgur stated, and Venenum huffed.
"You've... changed..." Venenum said, and Fulgur chuckled.
"Yeah, I probably have, I think you and Glacies are rubbing off on me," Fulgur said, and Venenum sighed, hugging himself.
"They'll be okay, they'll be okay," the green knight repeated to himself.
Present
Ignis was still recovering from his nightmare, he was very jumpy, Fulgur knew that there was more to the nightmare than Ignis let on, and Fulgur was worried for his friend, they still had things to talk about, and this situation was not ideal.
Fulgur had finally managed to break through Ignis' barrier, and now he'd put it back up again because of this nightmare, and the thought of him being a part of Necromancer's plan to bring back the thing that caused such a traumatic war, the thing that had nearly killed them, the thing that caused Ignis' nightmares.
Fulgur hated this, and he hated the scar that that demon had left on his friend, Fulgur had always hated the scars left behind by their enemies, no doubt Glacies would have a scar, and Venenum had a pretty nasty burn scar on his back that he received from the saber of the conehead groom.
Fulgur had never told anyone how he'd gotten his scar, he hadn't received in a battle, but he wouldn't tell anyone how he'd gotten his scar, no one needed to hear his sob story, it would be repetitive.
After they'd been captured by aliens and their faces had been revealed to each other, Venenum had insisted on a night where they could talk about how they'd gotten various scars, it'd been fun, and they'd learned a lot about each other.
Of course, Ignis and Fulgur had been hesitant, especially Fulgur, he knew they'd ask about his scar, and he'd rightfully refused, claiming that he didn't need to evaluate it, and Glacies had been quick to defend Fulgur's rights when Venenum had become increasingly insistent about it.
Fulgur knew that without Glacies, he and Ignis would've ripped each other apart, not to mention what they'd do to Venenum when he got too overbearing with his bad one-liners and jokes.
