Glacies sat up, no one was there to stop him, he was fine now, Venenum patched the wound, and Galcies was careful enough to not bust a stitch, unless he was in a battle of course, whenever one of them needed to get patched like this, it was always busted in the next skirmish with the enemy.
Especially after defeating the Ice King, the falling ice and the Ice King's magic had caught some of the knights, and it was so much harder to fight on the ice, than coming from the ice-wielding knight himself.
Glacies leaned himself against the wall, a few moments later, Ignis and Fulgur walked in, both without their helmets, it brought a small smile to his face to see the two.
The knights rarely ever took off their helmets on the adventure, none of them had seen the other's face until they'd been captured by the aliens.
The aliens had done experiments on the knights, some more cruel than others, it wasn't until Venenum had managed to sneak his bow and arrows into the cell to destroy the device that kept them trapped.
But in the period they were in there, the aliens had taken their helmets to better do their tests, they'd put them back into their cell without them, that was the first time any of them had revealed their faces to one another.
Ignis was averting his gaze, and Fulgur was the first to approach, putting a hand on the bed.
"How're you feeling?" Fulgur asked, and Glacies looked at Ignis before returning it to Fulgur.
"I'm okay, but we should get going soon, we have to take care of the kingdom, Venenum said he was going to go report to the king, it was about time we did," Glacies said, and Fulgur nodded.
"Glacies, you shouldn't fight in your state of being, that was a brutal injury you took," Ignis stepped in before Fulgur could.
Glacies looked into Igins' eyes for a moment, the other had always been insecure about his eyes, he once told Glacies that when he was younger, people judged him for his eyes, all of the knights had something in common in that regard, Glacies had been harassed a lot due to the color of his skin and his eyes, Fulgur's eyes were such a piercing yellow, some people were scared of him, and Venenum was one of those people that always looked out for the 'little guys' and was considered a target for a lot of people who looked down on him.
Fulgur let out a heavy sigh.
"Glacies is right though, the Barbarians are a part of something, something big," Fulgur said.
Ignis looked away from the two of them with a sigh of disbelief.
"We can't just leave! We can barely work as a team anymore and Glacies is hurt!" Ignis snapped, and Fulgur grabbed Ignis' arms.
"Hey, calm yourself down, we aren't going anywhere at least until Glacies can walk," Fulgur said, and Ignis let out a sob.
Glacies reached a hand out to the other knights.
"Look at me, you're okay, we aren't going to put anyone in danger, everything will be fine," Fulgur said, and Ignis just wrenched his arms out of Fulgur's grip.
"I don't care! The King can send someone else! Anyone else! He shouldn't have gotten hurt in the first place! We should've never split up! It shouldn't have been me!" The last line slipped, and Ignis hated himself for it immediately.
Glacies' eyes widened in surprise, reaching toward Ignis, who backed away.
Fulgur watched the fireknight leave the room.
"Fulgur, what happened?" Glacies asked, and Fulgur's fists clenched.
"Ignis is just upset, he'll get over it."
