These updates come sooner and sooner, mainly cause I have no motivation for anything else, I defiantly will get a new cover for this book soon so I can have original work as the cover.
Ignenum/ Ignis and Venenum shippers get fed this chapter. Fulacies fans not so much.
Glacies' breath hitched, but then he thought better of himself, calm, don't give yourself away.
Viburnum kept trying to pull him away from the camp, "We need to go."
"We must get back to the others before they come here," Glacies retorted, and Viburnum growled as he tried to escape toward his friends, but Viburnum, once again, stopped him.
"He'll expect that, if he can't find you here, he'll go back and search for you there," Viburnum said, and Glacies' fists clenched, he seriously needed to get a grip on himself, he was exposing too many of his emotions.
"If that thing finds us away from the others, we'll be more vulnerable, and it will kill us."
"Glacies, the others will be fine, Fulgur and Ignis are as stubborn as they come and Venenum will make sure they don't try to kill each other," Viburnum argued again, and Glacies gazed in the direction of his friends.
It was clear that the Necromancer didn't get what he wanted, he didn't get Ignis, but he had Fulgur in his grasp, and he dropped him into the forest, he could be hurt, but Fulgur has survived worse, a lot worse.
"Ice Knight! I want you to know that your friends are not safe, if you turn yourself over, I won't kill you and the Posion or Lightning knight."
Glacies' brows furrowed, he knew it was a lie, he knew that he'd take Glacies, find the others, use him as leverage to get to Ignis, take Ignis despite Glacies' warnings to not surrender himself. Then he'd kill Ignis, get his master back, then he'd kill Glacies in front of Fulgur and Venenum, Venenum would crack under the pressure and likely the wizard would kill him or worse, then the Necromancer would have his fun with Fulgur, before slaughtering the knight that had killed him before.
And that was hardly the worst case that went through his mind.
Viburnum pulled him away.
"We have to go, we can get to the dunes, Fulgur knows about that plan, he can meet us there," Viburnum reasoned.
And Glacies stopped fighting him, and let himself be pulled along. He let himself be pulled away from his friends. His three best friends.
Then Glacies heard it, the screams, and Glacies turned back, his eyes widened under his helm.
More screams echoed in the forest.
Glacies knew he shouldn't care, they were the enemies, they deserved it, right? Fulgur wouldn't care, Ignis wouldn't care, Venenum... he'd feel bad, he'd crack at the sound of those screams as that thing slauthered anyone in that camp, all to find Glacies.
Viburnum got in front of him, putting his hands on his shoulders.
"Glacies, you can't do this right now, I know this feels wrong to you, but you can't shut down now, you can't, you need to stay strong," Viburnum tried as he shook him.
Fortitudo, a man that hadn't believed in the cause he served, so many Barbarians in that camp didn't want this, all those people that were like Fortitudo, were being killed.
Glacies' body shook, Dammit! Why couldn't he just forget!
"Snap out of it."
Another several screams cut through the air.
